Thank you! I was practically screaming at the TV. They did such a great job up until that point coming up with a uniquely realistic space vehicle and giving a pretty realistic experience. Then "one cannister of liquid oxygen will support an astronaut for five months." Then a long crazy non-realistic rope climb with no tether for dramatic effect... Then oops, I dropped it. Then it just ended like I cared more about the people than the hard science fiction. Ugh. Still raging. Did they just run out of money, or did someone really think that was the best way to end it?

    That's a snapchat filter. It's actually hideoderous. :)

Loved his stuff when I was growing up. Seemed capable of becoming an acting great with his versatility and believability in anything he played. He's been phoning it in for so long now though. The last straw was that Fire with Fire movie (2012) where his billing was bigger than the lead. He was in like five minutes of the movie. Automatically think "crap movie" when I see him billed now. Sad.

Just an FYI. Black Lives Matter, if you don't want to look it up.

Google reverse image search. Apparently these were homes foreclosed on during the financial crisis and the banks just sat on them until they rotted. Personally, I am amazed at the amount of vandalism... but then Detroit. At least I learned about using Google street view to "go back in time" if the Google car has been by a location more than once. Another internet rabbit hole taking up too much of my time...

For those that want context (without having to Google). This senator implied that nurses probably have time to play cards on their 12 hour shifts in certain hospitals that she wanted exempted from a bill that basically said you have to guarantee nurses uninterrupted breaks at some point on those 12 hour shifts. With that in mind, this was the best mic-drop 'diss I have read in a long time. Old people / time to think / long form letters > millenials and twitter!

Um. Does anyone question why a "sports reporter" would wear open-toed four inch heels to interview baseball players in the dirt on the diamond? Seems to me either she didn't think that through or this was setting up for an impression she wanted to make?   As to whoever put this dude on a bucket, I'm thinking the optics were better than him talking directly at her bewbs...

I had this, the star bird and the black one that you could shoot at the reflective target and it would indicate a hit. Went great with my Big Trac... Yes, I was an only and lonely child...

I loved the soundcloud link that featured someone saying "What the f%$#!" while that was playing over the ship's PA. Modley's "apology" said that he was attempting a motivational speech. Moron. Good riddance.

Former military member (Army). Could not fathom why the "Acting" Secretary of the Navy would be such a petty person that he would badmouth a captain who cared enough about his troops to knowingly and effectively end his military career to get them taken care of. So pissed that I couldn't figure out how to lodge a complaint anywhere (look at the petitions on the White House web pages - absolute gung-ho pro-Trump crap). Effectively enough, Modley knew how reviled he would be by the rest of the Navy troops and resigned... Leadership is not demanding respect, it is earning it. I just wish those at the top would respect that instead of reflecting the president's modus operendi.

One of the reasons I work in IT today. So many "D" cell batteries sacrificed their lives to make this possible. Good gravy, how I used to terrify the housecats when they were sleeping with this thing... Good times, good times...
