@mgear - Is it me, or does that finger look hideously deformed? Also, I've never seen one in Celsius, way cool! @tiki - It's actually really easy to hook one up. You just pick one up at the hardware store, pull the old one off the wall, and plug any wires into the new one. Piece of cake!

I saw it opening night, and it was delightfully awful. Seeing it in a theater full of people also laughing at it's hokiness and saying the famous lines along with Samuel is what made it so fun. Everyone enjoyed the obvious cheesiness of it all, and we all laughed together. What did you expect? It's called "Snakes on a Plane"! - Comment on Old Books (2008-05-14 15:03:22)
My dad used to collect old books, dating back to the 1700s. He passed away a few years ago, and I eventually moved all his books out west with me, so I could deal with them and get them out of storage. I loaded them onto a semi, and when they weighed it there were over 10,000 lbs of books! Initially I vowed to go through them all and sell them individually, but it quickly became apparent I didn't have the time or willpower. So I organized them all, and invited local book folks to come over and look through them. Then I told them I was posting the lot on eBay, and they could all bid the whole collection. I probably didn't get what I could have for them, but I got them out of my garage. I've always grown up with the smell all over the house, and I love it to an extent. But this was too much to deal with. Just some personal history to add to the mix... - Comment on Joker - learn The Fucking Difference (2008-05-13 23:37:30)
Agreed...times have just changed when it comes to dark movies. For it's day, Batman was super dark, and Jack was fabulous. His delivery was fantastic, and he was pushing the edge. The edge has simply moved, and it takes more to push it these days. @Tiki Give online a try. It's not as loserish as it sounds @Tony Good for you guys! My wife and I have our 5 year anniversary coming up...we were both single parents, so meeting online was helpful.
