I honestly don't really care what happens here (except the likelihood of WW III breaking out -- for truly stupid reasons), but the right wing talking points I've heard include: 1) Ukraine's government is thoroughly corrupt, why are we potentially going to war because of them? 2) supposedly there was a promise made not to expand NATO eastward right up against Russia's borders and 3) if China or Russia were in building bases or putting missiles aimed at us in neighboring Mexico, wouldn't we in the U.S. be just as agitated as Russia is?

Yawn. The whole idea here is to have Trump indicted on some garbage felony charge so he can't run again in 2024. Doesn't matter, since Dems' performance controlling **everything** has been so abysmal these past two years, 2022 and 2024 are going to be awesome for conservatives. - Comment on Peter Freuchen, 6’7’’ wears a coat made from the fur of a polar bear. When Peter Freuchen got buried in an avalanche, he used a dagger made out of his frozen feces to dig himself out. - Comment on How long before Joe starts hyping up Piss to stop covid? (2022-01-31 13:19:25)
Speaking of liberals who don't always tow the Leftist party line, could you try to cancel Bill Maher next? - Comment on ‘I will die free’: Unvaccinated Burke County man denied kidney transplant by hospital (2022-01-30 21:50:18)
Anti-vaxxed people can have their own good reasons for being skeptical: J&J vaccines can cause blood clots; the other two can cause Myocarditis in people under 40; if you get side effect damage from the vax, you cannot sue the manufacturers nor will the government bail you out. Everybody here is probably vaxxed (as am I), but if you really "trust the science™", you're protected fromcatching Covid, transmitting Covid, or getting a bad case of Covid. Treating your anti-vaxxed neighbors like garbage is unbelievably closed minded and anti-American, but it's par for the course for a typical Leftist. If Biden hadn't been elected, I wonder if everything would've been flipped (red states = vaxxed and blue states/cities = Covid cesspools). - Comment on ‘I will die free’: Unvaccinated Burke County man denied kidney transplant by hospital (2022-01-30 14:44:31)
Beautiful article I read in The (usually Leftist/Liberal) Atlantic the other day: It's a Terrible Idea to Deny Medical Care to Unvaccinated People - Comment on What Tucker’s really thinking (2022-01-28 13:44:20)
Maybe it was Biden! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oy7cHLBi-7U - Comment on Justice Stephen Breyer to retire from Supreme Court, paving way for Biden appointment (2022-01-26 20:22:31)
The squad is demanding a "Black Female™" supreme court justice. Maybe Biden should nominate President Kamala Harris for that slot. With her office hemorrhaging employees and her approval ratings even lower than Uncle Joe, that would take care of two problems immediately. And she doesn't care a whit for the pesky constitution, she'd vote for anything that feels suitably Left. - Comment on Elizabeth Warren says $20,000 in student loan debt 'might as well be $20 million' for people who are working at minimum wage (2022-01-26 15:35:41)
If they racked up a bunch of school loan debt and all they can do is a minimum wage job, they either picked the wrong degree or they aren't trying very hard to find a job that pays better. Either way the loans they signed for are on them. - Comment on U.S. to let teens drive big rigs in test program to help ease supply chain shortage (2022-01-21 22:25:14)
Forget drugs... with inflation and the supply chain I can't even afford to be on fk'in FOOD. - Comment on StarTribune: A guide to the Jan. 6 insurrection – 1/5/2022 (2022-01-21 20:16:55)
January 6th was the biggest threat to democracy EVAR. When the most heavily armed demographic in the world didn't bring any guns to a coup, and the only person who got shot was an unarmed woman, and she was killed by the kind of super cop who leaves his Glock in the toilet. - Comment on This is how close Detroit is from Canada. This is the YouDontSwimInHereEver River in the middle. (2022-01-15 16:48:11)
Canada is actually SOUTH of Detroit here. (and Steve Perry didn't know that, when he wrote the words to "Don't Stop Believing") - Comment on Human Embryo (2022-01-05 21:48:43)
Though I haven't Googled up the context for it yet, that pic of a fragile and definitely dead fetus makes me a bit sad -- every baby deserves to live and have the potential to grow up to be somebody amazing. - Comment on But, I’m special, it’ll work for me. (2021-12-06 23:49:03)
Woo! What a fantastically wrong guess about me personally. You should probably get back to not successfully keeping Goldy's fish tank clean. People can easily be successes -- and have their own personal rags-to-riches style success stories -- if they focus, get a decent degree (e.g. STEM) and work hard, versus begging for donations via PayPal or Patreon like Caitlin's Twitter bio. - Comment on But, I’m special, it’ll work for me. Spoken like somebody who studied something marketable like Lesbian Dance Theory. Oh wait, she got a "journalism" degree. About the same employment/income prospects.
