Third season was certainly more epic. Think Disney will renew it for a fourth season? I'm guessing not, since they already own Star Wars outright and don't need a (higher quality) Star Trek knockoff. - Comment on Yet Republicans continue to blame everyone else. (2022-05-24 22:06:46)

You'd never admit it, but you know full well that this has _nothing_ to do with education and everything to do with control, trying to indoctrinate both kiddos and their teachers into legitimizing behaviors that even a couple years ago weren't even thinkable as civilized. This particular teacher isn't pushing a religious agenda whatsoever but is being forced to behave against her beliefs. That's akin to the government demanding religious (e.g. strict Muslim) butchers to carve up pigs if they want to get a business license or earn a living. You're never going to get 100% progressives in the teaching ranks. There simply aren't *that* many Lefties unselfish enough to want to spend time in front of a classroom full of kids. Also I love how you subtly try to redefine "bigotry", which is pretty rich coming from a full throated supporter of the party that birthed the KKK, whose current politicians desperately crave votes of inner city folks and then conveniently forget about them until the next election cycle (keeping the ghetto perpetually crappy). Lastly, If you insisted to the other MCS NPCs here that you were a 21 year old supermodel, I doubt anybody would remember to honor your pronoun requests. But you'll always be a turd to me. - Comment on A Kansas teacher is suing school officials for requiring her to address students by their preferred names, saying the policy violates her religious freedom (2022-03-18 01:19:05)
Sure we have "freedom of speech"(tm), but employees must do what the government tells them do (whether it's uttering disagreeable misgendered names for immature kids, or inject the 4+ boosters of that you-cant-sue-the-manufacturers-if-something-goes-wrong Covid vaccine) or those employees can't earn a living or put food on their table. Meanwhile, hospitals and schools can't find enough new employees and have non-stop job vacancies. - Comment on ‘Extreme Fear Mongering’: Greg Abbott’s Push to Investigate Families Is Only the Latest in the GOP’s Anti-Trans Blitz (2022-02-25 19:27:08)
I know, right? Texas seems to be getting a lot of them relocating from California. - Comment on ‘Extreme Fear Mongering’: Greg Abbott’s Push to Investigate Families Is Only the Latest in the GOP’s Anti-Trans Blitz (2022-02-25 13:26:24)
Behind a paywall so I can't read the actual story, but I'm certain this legislation has to do with the 8-9 year old "Luna" with the crazy woke pediatrician mom who has been waging a gross custody battle with her ex (she appears to be winning so far). I'm not against those born with one set of chromosomes playing dress-up to pretend they're another gender -- or even mutilating their bodies to "affirm" their choice -- but shouldn't there should be some age limit for when they can start taking puberty blockers or do the surgeries? Most kids under 16 or 18 aren't nearly mature enough to make decisions that can have severe lifelong consequences. - Comment on Ukraine Under Full-Scale Attack (2022-02-24 22:06:25)
Yawn. I could care less about Putin or Russia, and in all my travels when I was younger I had absolutely zero interest in ever visiting Russia or the authoritarian/Trashcanistan-ish Eastern European countries. Instead of attacking the messenger for daring to bring a counter opinion (which is the standard empty-headed MCS-lefty approach), tell me what justifies the USA being the world's police for this one? p.s. I wonder what genuine communists/socialists in Congress feel about this going on (e.g. the Squad or Bernie)
