28 yr. old Geek. Most of my time not at work or school is spent trolling teh intarwebs. I likes the videogames. Lately I'm playing Animal Crossing: Wild World on my DS because it's an easy way to waste my time when I'm not at a computer. Bullshit the Conservatives don't interfere with society! If that were the case, both abortion and homosexual marriage would have been legal years ago. - Comment on dooey is wide eyed - wallpaper (2010-10-13 11:09:40)

Thank you. Not the mention the fact that the only job a legislator has is to get elected and stay elected, and the requirements to do that job have steadily declined as th populace pays less and less attention to politics. It used to be that people ran on their qualities and achievements. Now they just debase their opponents and use scare-tactics like, "If you don't vote for me, the terrorists win!" - Comment on tea party (2010-09-10 19:30:09)
It's really Congress and the Senate that need to be flushed and repopulated anew. The most of the people responsible for drafting and passing the legislation that our country runs on were teenagers before Black people had the right to vote in general elections. As a people, we have socially, technologically, and culturally evolved far beyond the scope of these people. There is a fucking reason that the only ideological epithets used by the right are "commie" and "hippie". Those are the only enemies they have ever understood. These people are too young to have understood the inhuman evil the Nazis perpetrated through direct experience, they only heard it from their parents, and use "Nazi" as a boogey-man scare-tactic. These people grew up through the Cold War, the Korean War, the VietnamWarConflict, and the Hippie Movement. Commies and Hippies are the only groups of people that are also white, and thus not protected by laws against overt racism. These people don't understand: Wall Street; MTV; The Internet; Video Games; Homosexuals; That the US may not always be right in policy decisions; That the military is no longer the esteemed honor guard of the country as it may have been before and during WWII; Roe v. Wade was passed after they were in High School. All these things that we take for granted, they still see as "new" and "different", and maybe even "repealable" so they can get things "back to the way they should be" as in: the way things were when they were children. - Comment on Stave Church (2010-08-31 16:50:58)

<Spelling nerd> Pokémon is actually a portmanteau, not a contraction. </Spelling nerd>
