The batman pin looks like the emblem of the GRU, Russia's military intelligence service. Given all the dozens of different security organizations that have come and gone during both the Soviet Union and Russian Federation it's pretty unique that the GRU has remained mostly the same since it was founded in 1918. Even when the Soviet Union fell in '91, when the KGB was diced into five ministries, the GRU was untouched. This guy is wearing a VDV (Airborne troops) beret, so if you put that together with the GRU pin it probably means he is, or was, spetsnaz GRU. Whereas the spetsnaz teams under the MVD and FSB behave like glorified SWAT teams specializing in counter-terrorism, the spetsnaz GRU is comparable to the Delta Force or Navy SEALs working within the armed forces. It's kind of subjective man. To an African refugee who has lost his wife and children and his livelihood to a tyrannical regime and is treated as a pawn in some dictator's egomaniacal game an AK would seem much more a tool in his arsenal of freedom. Hell, the oppressive government he rises against could very well be using M-16s instead of AKs.

The middle one is the best, I've used it as a wallpaper a lot before too. It's actually the emblem of the Soviet Union displaying the phrase "Workers of the world, unite!" in all 15 of the Soviet Union's languages. You can't see them very well because it's eroded, maybe as some kind of commentary. Great wallpaper anyway.

I have news for you, the world didn't respect us under Bush, in fact it was quite the contrary. We were the punchline of every fucking joke, and because of his actions we still are. The world respected us? Only to people like you who see the world as a glorified strategy game where any leader who doesn't flash his cock 24/7 is seemingly inviting global gang rape. International diplomacy doesn't entirely consist of flexing muscles. North Korea has always been nuts, regardless of president or party in America. It's one of those little constants... There will always be religion, snow is always cold, and North Korea (at least under Kim Jong) will always be fucking nuts. 9/11 by the way, was the direct result of 19 religious extremists carrying out mass murder in the name of their cause against their perceived enemy. If you're going to blame Clinton for fucking up and not catching Bin Laden, you might as well blame Bush too since he did absolutely nothing to stop him until after the fact anyway. It's either both or none. Another thing, do not confuse pragmatism and respect of sovereignty as "being a pussy." In fact, most of the problems we have on the international scene are caused by throwing ourselves headfirst into stupid decisions and intimidation that backfires. The world doesn't exist as a playground for America and to act like it is only shows your ignorance. For the record the picture is just as stupid as the ones depicting Obama as a socialist.
