no, that makes it a "sub-rifle" I have one of these, it is fun to shoot and easy to operate/maintain as well as being affordable. KelTec makes good stuff.

Or people who need to note the current time while holding a clipboard (nurses, industrial equipment operators) Of course, being left-handed is NOT acceptable, but wearing the watch to be visible while writing just makes sense for some professions.

"cobra passenger floorboards" Yes, most of the aftermarket stuff on the Shadow was Cobra when we bought it used. Those passenger boards see almost zero use, we're more inclined to solo riding, both bikes just happen to have come with passenger seating, which in the long run will likely become cargo room.

Do you use GPS while on the move, or just as a reference while stopped? I'm a new rider, I can't imagine trying to fiddle with a nav unit while in motion, I can't even figure out how to mount my phone as an auxiliary speedometer, let alone for use.

Sounds like an open invitation to the back-door to me as well Or at least a BJ

I like Kraken, it makes a nice change from Captain Morgan (not to say I don't enjoy Cap'n, particularly the "private reserve" or whatever it is that comes in a squat bottle)

you should go for it, put the two wheels in the front and go AWD while you're at it.

You retain most of your man-points with such a device, loss is minimal.

No, I'm against any regulation based on possession rather than actions. It extends well beyond weaponry. We trust our citizens to operate 3000# battering rams in formation at speeds of 65mph+ within feet of opposing streams of motorized occupied battering rams ... but they can't be trusted to own/operate a simple combustion-propelled lead launcher? They can't be trusted to own/operate certain bladed tools? They can't be trusted to stay at home and utilize recreational chemistry? Firearms are tools, demonizing them is silly and points to larger issues.

Answer: I do, except when I'm @ work with metal detectors, armed guards, and an effective controlled area. And needing a permit is an infringement, EVERY citizen has the right to arm themselves along with a responsibility for any injury or damage they may cause with vehicles, bare hands, tools or even a weapon.

I used to make hard cider and applejack, your gear is about 5 steps of sophistication and 3 steps of legality compared to what I used. But if I could make drinkable hard cider with old oil containers and crappy well water in a minimally sanitary environment hidden away, you should be able to use purpose-built gear that doesn't have to be stealthy to make a simple beer ... maybe focus on the basics and drop the complications?
  • Comment on Homemade Revolving Shotgun (2011-02-23 00:13:16)
With a capacity of 6, the advantage over a similar-weight and similar-size pump (aka slide) action shotgun is minimal, is it is there at all. A spiffy gadget, though, it does get rid of the balance / delicacy issues of a tube magazine. Anyone with a bug up their bum about the BATFEIEIO's random "sporting purposes" choices can: 1 - EABOD, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed ... AND is not dependent on hunting quail or harvesting venison 2 - console yourself that this is obviously a flare-launcher, not a shotgun

I'm sure you can imagine all kinds of situations where you would do something responsible, but the adults all got together while you were watching teevee and decided to be responsible and follow the 4 rules 1-guns are always loaded (until MADE unloaded and VERIFIED unloaded on the spot) 2-keep your finger off the trigger until ready to fire 3-know your target and what is beyond 4-never let the muzzle cover something you are not willing to destroy You would have to break at least two of those simple rules to harm another human being who was not endangering your life and health, perhaps you need some time on a range with an instructor? I'm sure there is a "basic pistol" class in your area with rental guns.

You're right, it is too much power. We should regulate these things based on an arbitrary set of criteria! So, gunz are two muchness of powerz ... hand them in, especially the ones with a shoulder thing that goez up! And your car is too big And your house has room for some extra people And your education is an unfair advantage (theoretically ... I'm not claiming you're educated) And you don't need all that privacy And your trial is a waste, we'll just toss everyone in jail ... ... Or ... ... Maybe we could just respect the rights of other citizens?

"There were enough cases where teenagers who were in gun clubs and by this perfectly trained in gun safety etc. got just this depressed and angry about the world that they forgot about their training and started shooting everyone. " [citation needed]
