"is this a real comic cover? is DC that tone deaf?" Not a real comic cover. It was made by a guy from deviantart ( http://spacecowboytv.deviantart.com/ ). However, that is the design of the outfit that they're forcing her to wear in the comics since the New 52 shit started 3 years ago. And yes, it looks dreadful. Depending on the artist, she looks like she's either wearing a diaper or her grandma's maxi-pads on the outside. So, yes, DC really is that tone deaf. We're all hoping that with the upcoming Supergirl TV show on CBS, they're going to redesign the outfit and make it look decent again.

It's far too obvious that the only reason they did it was so they could claim that anyone who didn't like the movie is a racist. - Comment on How to Put On a Sock by Sanford Johnson (2015-01-23 22:27:54)
This is the video's description on Youtube: Mississippi's new sex education law prevents teachers from showing teens how to use condoms. However, they CAN show kids how to protect their feet through correct and consistent sock use. - Comment on Listen & Believe (2015-01-17 18:50:51)
A couple of points: (2) - Most SJW you'll ever meet are middle-class white men. The primary reason they see racism and sexism everywhere is because they are racist/sexist themselves and they project their own inner bigotry unto everyone else. That's why everything they see is bigoted and hateful (that's what's inside of their own minds). (8) - And beauty. A beautiful young woman will find all doors open for her.... until she turns 30.... - Comment on immigration guide (2015-01-12 12:38:21)
Yes, how dare the USA not instantly give the citizenship to every psycho, murderer, freeloader, rapist, mugger, drug dealer, con-man, and child molester who wants to come and live in the US? How dare they do the exact same thing that every single country in the planet does instead of what whiny, bleeding-heart liberals want them to do? The nerve of this people! - Comment on Korra and Her Girlfriend (2015-01-07 20:02:53)
The ending of the last season of Korra has to be the most simple-mindedly, mind-meltingly stupid piece of fan service I have ever seen, and I have watched Queen's Blade, Strike Witches, and Senran Kagura animes. It's the perfect example that, for American PC idiots, the one and only reason for the existence of lesbians is so that straight 15-year-old boys can go "OMG! Those two girls are kissing! That's so totally hot, dude!" At least Queen's Blade is honest and up front about its intentions. It never pretends that it has so many female characters because it has any particularly high regard for women, and it sure-as-hell doesn't pretend that any girl-on-girl action you'll find there is intended to be an honest representation of lesbians, their hopes, dreams, hardships, trials and tribulations. When they show a girl touching another girl's breasts, they're perfectly open about the fact that the intended audience is 15-year-old boys who are very likely to watch the scene with one hand busy at the time. But with Korra, the dishonesty is appalling. If those two characters were lesbians all along, then the writers treated that fact as if it was something that should be hidden from everyone, even from the characters themselves. Or are we supposed to assume that they were straight all along, up until the last 2 minutes of the show, when they conveniently found "the right girl" and both switched teams just in time to spark a million images of fan service after the show was over? It's a perfect example of how female characters are created and used for the sole purpose of pleasing a male audience. Female friendships simply do not exist for this kind of writers. If two women spend more than 10 seconds together and aren't talking about a male character or providing exposition for the plot, then they are about to start kissing each other, otherwise what would be the point of having them talking to each other in the first place? It's not like men could possibly care about two women who have a strong, meaningful, emotionally fulfilling friendship that doesn't involve hot lesbian sex. - Comment on Gun Control for Dummies (2015-01-06 22:39:29)
"The law abiding citizen on the left I would shoot in the back of the head while he isn’t looking at me" Thus alerting the other 27 gun-carrying law-abiding citizens within earshot who are itching for those delightful moments when it becomes perfectly legal to shoot an asshole in the nuts (and then in the head, but only after a couple of minutes) in self-defense since the asshole already shot a man from behind. - Comment on Socialists can't math. "A liberal is a conservative who's never been mugged. A conservative is a liberal who owns his own business." -- anonymous - Comment on did you know about the pledge (2014-12-28 08:10:48)
"America is one nation indivisible." No, America is a continent. The United States of America is a nation. Calling it "America" or claiming it is "indivisible" are as much religious beliefs as the "under god" nonsense, and they're clearly discriminating against someone's beliefs, which apparently is a bad thing. - Comment on thou shalt not commit logical fallacies (2014-12-27 10:24:08)
You ARE aware that you committed about five of those logical fallacies in your post, right? The ugly truth is simple: math is truth, everything else is a logical fallacy of one form or another. And the biggest mistake is to believe that you can determine any kind of truth merely by arguing about it. - Comment on Chibi Civil War (2014-12-25 14:19:38)
The original Captain Marvel is the one from Fawcett comics who looks like Fred MacMurray (currently the DC character known as Shazam). The Marvel version of Captain Marvel was originally an alien guy who gave Ms. Marvel her powers. That was a character absolutely no one liked but Marvel kept it around for copyright reasons to prevent DC (who bought Fawcett and the original Captain Marvel) from using the name "Captain Marvel" on the title of a comic. A few years ago, Marvel got tired of having to bring back that sorry mess of a character every few years just for the copyright, so they decided to simply change Ms. Marvel's name for the fourth time (she's been, Mr. Marvel, Warbird, Binary, Ms. Marvel again, and now Captain Marvel) so she would be in charge of keeping the copyright alive. So now we have that sorry mess of a character replacing the even sorrier mess of a character just to ensure that the real Captain Marvel cannot use his name ever again. - Comment on die like you were born kicking and screaming (2014-12-25 14:02:52)
"...Kicking, screaming, and bathed in blood, and next to a half-naked woman screaming in pain, and next to a man filming the whole thing on his phone while saying 'push, honey, push!' as if he was actually helping just by saying it." - Comment on Red Sonja (2014-12-23 10:33:51)
See how sexist fantasy armor is? The woman is at least wearing chainmail clothes that could easily stop a dagger or even a sword, while the man is wearing nothing but a loincloth that'd have a hard time stopping a mild breeze. And she's wearing a lot more clothing despite him being much bigger and thus having a larger area of skin that'd need protection. This kind of sexism is just repugnant, I say. REPUGNANT! - Comment on Elvis and Tom (2014-12-22 11:24:04)
It's not unusual for famous singers to hang out with each other, especially when they're a couple of hound dogs. - Comment on Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever (2014-12-21 16:23:29)
Here's the trailer for it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PrSPuBYm-Cw Yes, it looks just as unfunny as you imagine it. And who knew grumpy cat was a girl, eh? I always assumed it sounded like Steven Wright.
