Edward Scott Pruitt is an American lawyer and Republican politician from the state of Oklahoma who was the fourteenth Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency. Nominated for the position by President Donald Trump, Pruitt was confirmed by the United States Senate to lead the EPA on February 17, 2017.

Pruitt was known for suing his own agency several times before taking over the agency, then being suspected of many illegal activities while in office at the EPA.
