Jorgina “Jorgie” Porter is an English actress and model. She is best known for portraying Mother Theresa in the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks from 2008 until 2016. Porter was born in Trafford, Greater Manchester on 25 December 1987. She grew up with her mother, grandmother, and sister, and has only met her father once. A former ballet dancer, she was told by the ballet school she attended that she was overweight for a dancer. She later attended The Hammond School in Chester.
