I’m still kind of amazed they managed to do the island of obviously gay and lesbian toys way back in 1964.
They weren’t gay and lesbian toys, they were MISFIT TOYS. A message on how anyone can be useful even if they don’t fit into society as people expected them to fit in. Even a locomotive with square wheels was useful! I, personally, am a MISFIT TOY.
