Yes, winter tires are better, but I spent most of my life driving all seasons all year round, and I never ended up in a ditch.
I did spin a ten ton box truck 360 on a 4 lane highway once in an ice storm….but I managed not to hit anyone and I stayed on the road…just barely.
I don’t think it had winter tires though….do people put winter tires on box trucks…?
