Chocolate Covered Potato Chips
Excellent. Don`t knock it til you try it.
I thought it was a bad idea at first, too.
“The Fabulous Destiny of Amélie Poulain”
Didn’t get to see this until recently. I really liked it. The score was done by Yann Tiersen who is awesome. I recommended if you like artsy films.
Paprika characters
“This is your brain on anime”
Probably one of the best animated or non-animated films of the decade. The soundtrack alone is worth watching for. Directed by Satoshi Kon, Sony Classics gave it the full treatment and it shows. I’d loved to have seen this in theaters. The original Japanese novel was released in Marie Claire back in 1991.
After watching this, I found a lot of parallels between this movie and “The Cell” however, Paprika is both much brighter and much darker than The Cell and has much deeper character development.
1928 Thompson SMG
Thompson SMG.
45 ACP; 750 RPM
This model is made by Auto Ordinance and is the civilian model. It’s also a family heirloom of mine.
1928 model with the original case. The case is a newly made copy of the original with a royal purple interior as opposed to the standard red or blue velvet.
Yes, they are legal to own here in the US. For the time being.
Pricey as anything to shoot though. 45 ACP rounds are currently about $20 a box.
Also took nearly a year to clear all the proper ATF, Sheriff, and other paperwork to take possession. Definitely feels like something from days gone by. Weighs nearly 25 pounds loaded.

…you gotta go.
There’s no way out…
So much for “do not pass ‘go’ do not collect $200;” there IS no “GO,” in this world!

Planet X

…The interest in Planet-X was first triggered by the writings of Zecharia Sitchin, whose translations and interpretations of the oldest known civilization, the Sumerians, gave us a cosmology that included what he called “The Twelfth Planet.”…
What to do when you’re bored at work.
What to do…
1. Kill a few Flies
2. Put them in the sun to dry for one hour.
3. Once they are dry, pick a pencil and paper… Let your imagination flow.
Here are a few examples…
Makes you wonder though, where does someone work that there are this many flies???

Still from Cold Souls
I’m watching the intro to a random, if well reviewed and otherwise unknown, comedy from last year entitled Cold Souls. The protagonist is flipping through the pages of an art book.
Why does this spider look so familiar? Like something out of an Australian’s email…. Am I being leveled, or is this actual art?
The Phenomenon of Ecstasy
The face of a woman totally abandoned to the throes of her passion, image manipulated as metaphor of the various degrees that that abandonment can take. The title of the series, taken from a montage of similar black and white images by Dali, alludes to the universality of this phenomenon. This work is an homage to him.
The first pic is Salvador DalÃ’s The Phenomenon of Ecstasy.
The rest are from here, along with the above quote.
