SCRIMSHAW 2 325x500 Comic Review for week of March 13th, 2019
So much better than the first issue, but still confusing. But in a good way!

ACCELL 19 325x500 Comic Review for week of March 13th, 2019
Fast as balls, because he has giant speed balls that appear when he goes fast.

BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER 3 325x500 Comic Review for week of March 13th, 2019
    I’m definitely dropping this one.

EDEN 4 325x500 Comic Review for week of March 13th, 2019
Fantastic story from this publisher, much better than all the other books, but for the same price!

G.I. JOE A REAL AMERICAN HERO SILENT OPTION 4 329x500 Comic Review for week of March 13th, 2019
Silence is best when it’s ended.

HIT GIRL SEASON TWO 2 325x500 Comic Review for week of March 13th, 2019
Better than the first issue of season two, man that first issue really rubbed me the wrong way.

THE FREEZE 4 329x500 Comic Review for week of March 13th, 2019

LIVEWIRE 4 329x500 Comic Review for week of March 13th, 2019
Definitely not a mini series, I’m happy to get more about this character, but I feel like they stripped her of all her powers just to be able to tell a story.

MARVEL ACTION SPIDER MAN 2 329x500 Comic Review for week of March 13th, 2019
Diamond neglected to send a copy.

MIDNIGHT MYSTERY 3 325x500 Comic Review for week of March 13th, 2019
Such a mysterious mystery! Well written with art that captured.

STAR WARS AGE OF REPUBLIC GENERAL GRIEVOUS 1 325x500 Comic Review for week of March 13th, 2019
General Grievous never once captured my attention, and this story was just about as boring as all his other outings. They suggest heavily that his cybernetic body was a choice of some sort, but I find that easy to comprehend. It’s not like that body did very well against a single Jedi.

THE PUNISHER 9 325x500 Comic Review for week of March 13th, 2019
The Punisher kills his way out of prison, then goes on a rampage to kill the guy that put him there. Next issue: more killing.

OBLIVION SONG 13 325x500 Comic Review for week of March 13th, 2019
    Holding for back issue acquisition.

STAR WARS HAN SOLO IMPERIAL CADET 5 325x500 Comic Review for week of March 13th, 2019
Last issue that ends the better of the two Solo book that have been coming out.

THE WICKED RIGHTEOUS 1 325x500 Comic Review for week of March 13th, 2019
This book left no impression on me at all.

    Green Book

     Green Book

Directed by Peter Farrelly. With Viggo Mortensen, Mahershala Ali, Linda Cardellini, Sebastian Maniscalco. A working-class Italian-American bouncer becomes the driver of an African-American classical pianist on a tour of venues through the 1960s American South.

Best movie of 2018, at least according to the Academy. It was an interesting movie using some sad tropes that I wish we’d just be able to move past, as a Nation, but it seems like we’re never going to be able to get over them completely.

The world is under attack from terrifying creatures who hunt their human prey by sound.

    Paths of Glory

     Paths of Glory

Directed by Stanley Kubrick. With Kirk Douglas, Ralph Meeker, Adolphe Menjou, George Macready. After refusing to attack an enemy position, a general accuses the soldiers of cowardice and their commanding officer must defend them.

Another Hollywood glorification of honor and courage, as well as a minor spitting in the eye of a 1% upper crust aristocratic general. Kirk Douglas is great, but this is less than I was expecting.

    The Miseducation of Cameron Post

     The Miseducation of Cameron Post

Directed by Desiree Akhavan. With Chloë Grace Moretz, Steven Hauck, Quinn Shephard, Kerry Butler. In 1993, a teenage girl is forced into a gay conversion therapy center by her conservative guardians.

Another movie based on a book, this time the subject matter is the horrific practice of conversion therapy, in which people with “sins” are taught to hate the sins at all cost. It’s a great movie but a sad subject matter.
