In some ways, this is the superior version of the two movies involving creatures that you can’t make noise around. There’s a reason this thing wasn’t released in theaters though.

Directed by Jon Watts. With Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Robert Downey Jr., Marisa Tomei. Peter Parker balances his life as an ordinary high school student in Queens with his superhero alter-ego Spider-Man, and finds himself on the trail of a new menace prowling the skies of New York City.

I watched this in preparation of seeing “Spider-man: Far From Home” and since I’ve already seen Infinity War and Endgame like 10 times each now, this is what I got.

It’s still a fun movie with fantastic elements that really set off my geek radar.

Fantasticly animated, even if I do only own this in Standard Definition.

It’s short, just barely over 30 minutes, but it sets up some threads that are pulled in “The Chronicles of Riddick”. It’s worth your time if you find it for cheap.

Directed by David Yarovesky. With Elizabeth Banks, David Denman, Jackson A. Dunn, Abraham Clinkscales. What if a child from another world crash-landed on Earth, but instead of becoming a hero to mankind, he proved to be something far more sinister?

Horror by the numbers, there wasn’t much that really shocked me narratively, and there were a few points that were just jaw droppingly gratuitous. It’s fun enough to be an ok rental, but definitely not worth seeing in the theater.

This still should have been three different movies and I’m still not happy with the narrative structure, but even with those two somewhat major complaints, I’m pretty happy with the film.
