Went to to re-release, which wasn’t anything new at all. There was a 5 second clip at the start from one of the Directors thanking everyone for coming out one more time, then the original movie played, then the Director came back out and thanked everyone for staying through the credits, then a very poorly animated scene was played that added nothing to the story and shouldn’t have even been considered played.

Then they played a Stan Lee tribute that was pretty amazing, but that was followed up with a spoiler scene from Spider-man: Far From Home, which I could have done without 🙁

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this movie, from all indications, it was supposed to be a mess, but it ended up being a good movie that didn’t have much of a point. With all due respect to David Harbour, this wasn’t a role that anyone expected anyone but Ron Perlman to play. Perlman’s version of Hellboy felt like a much older dude in his movies, whereas Harbours feels like a late teen, it’s difficult to really pin down an age due to the heavy makeup and the fact the character is literally a demon, so does age even apply?

Regardless, it’s a movie no one was asking for, but I’m happy we got.
