    Society

Directed by Brian Yuzna. With Billy Warlock, Concetta D’Agnese, Ben Slack, Evan Richards. An ordinary teenage boy discovers his family is part of a gruesome orgy cult for the social elite.

A solidly b-level movie that outdoes itself in the special effect deaprtment, with a soundtrack that’s honestly one of the best parts of the film. I ran into an advertisement for the movie on the back of a comic book that I was bagging and boarding a while ago and the poster seemed interesting enough to look up. It turned out to be a perfectly campy body horror film that tickled my Cronenberg itch that I get between my shoulder blades every now and then, you know the spot, it’s where your spine would curl out of your body to turn into a tail or scorpion tail.

    Robin’s Wish

Directed by Tylor Norwood. With Susan Schneider, Shawn Levy, John R. Montgomery, Rick Overton. An intimate portrait of Robin Williams and his invulnerable spirit, Robin’s Wish is the story of what really happened to one of the greatest entertainers of all time – and what his mind was fighting.

I miss having Robin Williams in the world, he was an agent for good and his passing was a loss to everyone. “Robin’s Wish” is a sad, but well made look at his final years, he slow decline, and the choices that he made that ultimately resulted in him leaving the world.

Check it out if you can, but be sure to bring some tissues.
