There’s something jarring about watching a man several years younger than me freaking out about turning 40, as my own 40th birthday happened during the covid-19 pandemic I had other things to occupy my mind, the fact that I’m at my age and still haven’t managed to hit a couple major life goals is weighing heavily.

Not heavily enough to go out to a tourist trap cattle drive with a hard working, hard smoking, and hard drinking team of cowboys. Billy Crystal was at the top of his game with his franchise, and I’m happy to have finally watched this on HBO Max, a service that will quickly no longer be a thing in my house due to the lack of 4k content on it.

Every year at this point in time, the sun finds a way through my blinds to shoot me right in the damn eye right around 5pm.

I bought a needle doodad for the record player that I bought from goodwill.  so far: record player was $13, cables were $10, needle was $25, connectors were $6 and I only own like 7 or 8 records, all of them Star Trek stories.  a few of them are the smaller ones that require an insert to play properly, which I don’t have yet.

Foster cats, mother on second level, her name is “Fluffy”.
