Brass Against Apologize For Singer Urinating On Fans Face During Festival Set Sophia Got Carried Away

Brass Against are a musical collective that mostly performs brass-band covers of artists like Tool, Soundgarden, and Black Sabbath. And on Thursday night, their lead singer peed directly onto a fan’s face in the middle of their set at the Welcome To Rockville festival in Daytona Beach, Florida. No press is bad press, I guess?

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings: Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton. With Simu Liu, Tony Chiu-Wai Leung, Awkwafina, Ben Kingsley. Shang-Chi, the master of weaponry-based Kung Fu, is forced to confront his past after being drawn into the Ten Rings organization.

Here we are, two months after release and it’s finally on Disney plus! Was the movie worth the wait?

Nope! I have no clue how they took lovable actors like Simu Liu and Awkwafina and turned them into petty man-babies, but that’s what we get! Doesn’t help that nearly half the movie is in a language I don’t speak, so had to spend that entire time reading the story instead of being caught up in the story. The only saving grace that I can find in this film is that they (sorta) fix the massive injustice that The Mandarin received in Iron Man 3, but then go out of their way to make it clear that the character we all love to hate from the Iron Man comics is never actually going to be seen and all we’re going to get is some immortal (sorta) thug that doesn’t do much of anything with his immortality. The worst part of the entire film was how exceptionally poorly lit the entire thing is lit. It’s obvious that nearly every scene that’s outside takes place on a sound stage with omni-present lighting coming from every direction as max volume, no matter where they are or what they’re doing.

There are a few great things in the movie though, and honestly they made up for the previously mentioned complaints, but they’re SPOILERS:

1 – Trevor is a national treasure, I hope we see more of him, and hopefully with his little buddy.
2 – The final fight with Shang and the black dragon were awe inspiring, if a bit weird with his doing air dancing for a full 30 seconds before he was able to defeat the dragon and I think a big part of that was the music.
3 – Master Wong, yes please.

    Space Truckers

Space Truckers: Directed by Stuart Gordon. With Tim Loane, Ian Beattie, Olwen Fouéré, Shane Rimmer. A space trucker and his cute fiancee are on their way from a space station to Earth with an unknown cargo. When space pirates hijack them, 5000 disintegrator robots are found in the cargo.

Dennis Hopper and Debi Mazar in a 1996 film about a sorta cowboy space trucker doing his thing seems like the type of thing that would fall into hiliarious camp (looking at you Moon Zero Two), but starts out with some pretty heavy political stuff with corporations and private operators and how they’re constantly at each other’s throats. After that’s all done, that’s when the camp kicks in and is just stupid space trucker fun. Remember Charles Dance from Game of Thrones? He’s one of the main bad guys here! He chews up every scene he’s in, including one in which he’s attempting to fix his own rip cord started low amp electrical wang pulse.

Some of the effect are terrible, some of the effects are fantastic, and some of the practical stuff….well they left in the wire rigging that was holding up the actors in the zero gravity scenes, so it’s all over the damn place and feels like two different movies that had wildly different budgets that were mashed together. I particularly loved the design of the pirate ship, but the main hero ship seemed cheapy made and poorly designed.

It’s good if you’d like to check out some mid-90’s cheeseball science fiction, which was exactly what I needed today.

    Kermit Devouring Piggy

    November 14 2021 Blog

This is Odo.  His tail is rediculous, but he’s my leg cuddle buddy.  Meaning that he only cuddles with my right leg, won’t get on my lap, and hates being picked up.  Other than that, he enjoys screaming at me through the door at 8:45 every morning right when he hears my alarm go off.  He’s a selfish little brat and I love him to death.

This his brother, Miles, in one of the few times that he’s cuddled up next to me, but I bet you can guess which side of my laptop the heat exhaust is on?  He’s an extremely talkative cat and I love him to pieces as well.

This is what I did yesterday and today, raked out a 10×100 foot section of my side lot, which is only about 1/20th of the size of the rest of the yard that needs raking and tending to.  I learned a few things about how to handle the job and feel like I did the easy one first, lol.  I had to buy these bags because I hate the idea of yard waste going into plastic bags (TLH has no mandate to my knowledge) and Home Depot had them for relatively cheap, though I absolutely hate how the HD website does it’s store selection: you have to do it on the product page (no changing once it’s in the cart!) and in Tallahassee we have two stores, which makes sense, except they’ve named one of them just “Tallahassee” and the other one “W Tallahassee”, so if you somehow just pick “Tallahassee” you really have no clue that you’re going to need to drive 45 minutes away on I-10 instead of going to the one that’s 2 minutes away.  I’ve emailed them about it, but like most companies of their size they are way too big to actually respond to emails.
