This was a weird one for me and I only read it because IDW is flooding my inbox with Godzilla books. It’s not a franchise that I’m a big enough fan of to read the tie in comics usually, but on the surface this is a unique concept that seemed far enough out there that it would be worth checking out. It turned out to be worth my time with some great art by Oliver Ono who is able to capture fluid motion in a appealing way all while having a style that’s captivating and entertaining. The story isn’t exactly targeted at me being a 44 dude that’s a casual fan of the franchise, but it’s an all ages story that would appeal to a very young age all the way up to me.
It’s out now, so check it out if you have the chance.

“Terminator Zero” Review
As a thought experiment among fans, this would be a neat discussion. As an officially released piece of media that’s an official expansion of the lore, this is a steaming pile of terminator scrap that completely changes the in-universe science. I’m perfectly fine with the new AI concepts that are introduced, the time loops are pretty well explained, but just the same, there’s an introduction to some multiversal theories that stand in stark contrast to the accepted time travel theories of past Terminator films that came before.
Also, it’s yet another series with a cat in it that distracted me a for nearly the entire time it was on screen, I was constantly wondering if they were going to kill the cat.
On the positive side, it’s nice to see the franchise still has legs and animation is still seen as a valid vehicle for something as heavy and dark as this post-apocalyptic fantasy series.

“The Fall Guy” Review
Tags:Movie Posters, Movie Reviews, Movies
The marketing I saw for this really missed the mark for me, from what I remember they were highlighting the romance and goofy capers that he got up in in pursuit of love, which is fine, but didn’t really make me want to see the movie in theaters, something that I wish I had been able to do now. j
The movie is actually more of a love letter to stunt men, the actual action heroes that do all the physical performances when actors are too beautiful to get their faces dirty or too expensive to replace when they fall off an airplane the wrong way. There’s even a record setting car roll that’s done with no cuts that’s a sight to be seen and is one of the best shot action setups that’s ever been in a movie.

Funny how his supporters can’t tell the difference either.
