Shoes for women: features of modern fashion

Shoes are always an invisible item making the entire look specific. The “invisibility” is pretty conditional nowadays, regarding the dominance of massive elements invading the fashion trends. But their role as style dividers is still significant – that’s why luxury woman shoes are so variable in use. What trends of 2022 are people observing and what products can First Boutique present? Let’s see.

Trends of 2022 that are prevailing in choosing women’s shoes

The general idea that unites most trends is massive bottom – heels or soles are solid, visually heavy elements. To be more specific, modern fashion offers:

  • unusual colors – they are usually complicated to combine with something routine, that’s why the trend suggests a new look at routine clothing;
  • going sporty – summer or enclosed shoes has a diversity of models not suggested for sports activities but looking as sporty as possible;
  • platforms – rising high over the ground, they allow to step the favorite looks up to the new level;
  • ballet flats are really comfortable for everyday use, so they continue holding their strong positions among women’s faves;
  • mules right from the 90s return to the top fashion tendencies along with the other analogical outfit elements;
  • shoes with the square toe – another phenomenon going cyclic from the 20 century;
  • though pointed shoes are still high in rates, so there are varieties of styles to choose from (it’s recommended to be careful in case of big sizes);
  • metallic colors – can be assigned to the number of unusual colors to use;
  • white – the guiding color keeping its position strong since the moment it went popular;
  • use ankle straps to make your look spicier;
  • as coziness is another trend to follow, quilted clothes and shoes are everywhere;
  • fantastic-form heels – some may seem mad, others resemble some fairy-tale item, but all of them are acceptable;
  • using clogs is also another comfortable trend turning all-purpose;
  • adding texture varieties – fake or natural fur, suede, velvet, and other materials bring some new shade to usual models people are used to;
  • rubber footwear – multi-purpose and all-style thing that is not acceptable only in the strict office wearing;
  • all kinds of shoes with lacing – are a classic thing today, but current trends always know to bring something new to the old looks.

    Live Nude Girls Unite!

    Live Nude Girls Unite!: Directed by Vicky Funari, Julia Query. With Julia Query, Jane, Siobhan Brooks, Kristina. Documentary look at the 1996-97 effort of the dancers and support staff at a San Francisco peep show, The Lusty Lady, to unionize. Angered by arbitrary and race-based wage policies, customers’ surreptitious video cameras, and no paid sick days or holidays, the dancers get help from the Service Employees International local and enter protracted bargaining with the union-busting law firm that management hires. We see the women work, sort out their demands, and go through the difficulties of bargaining. The narrator is Julia Query, a dancer and stand-up comedian who is reluctant to tell her mother, a physician who works with prostitutes, that she strips.

    I’ll admit I started this for less than pure reasons, but the documentary ended up being an illuminating look behind the curtain of an American Adult union and their struggles with management to get worker protections in place. There’s some good family drama as well and I’d love to know what Vicky Funari is up to these days, 20 years later.

  • DC League of Super-Pets

    DC League of Super-Pets: Directed by Jared Stern, Sam J. Levine. With Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Kate McKinnon, John Krasinski. Krypto the Super-Dog and Superman are inseparable best friends, sharing the same superpowers and fighting crime side by side in Metropolis. However, Krypto must master his own powers for a rescue mission when Superman is kidnapped.

    All the marketing pushed Johnson and Hart, for all the obvious reasons, those guys are super marketable and never fail to please, but I’m here to tell you their roles in “DC League of Super-Pets” they take an absolute backseat to Kate McKinnon’s fantastic performance in which she literally stole every scene that she was in. I was impressed with the pet stuff, but I will say that the familiar super-heroes were just sad parodies of their more familiar versions.

    The Secret Life of Walter Mitty

    The Secret Life of Walter Mitty: Directed by Norman Z. McLeod. With Danny Kaye, Virginia Mayo, Boris Karloff, Fay Bainter. A clumsy daydreamer gets caught up in a sinister conspiracy.

    I had no idea that Bill Stiller’s 2013 film of the same name was a remake of this 1947 film, but when I stumbled upon the 1947 version on Kanopy and immediately gave it a go and I’m happy I did! The broad strokes between the two films are essentially the same, there’s a guy in a good job at a publisher that frequently lets his daydreaming get in the way of the life he’s trying to lead, that is until something happens that gives him the opportunity to live the life that he’s always imagined he could live.

    In the ’47 film, the fine details are immediately recognizable by anyone that’s seen more than a few films from the era, it’s essentially a screwball comedy with a himbo that’s being forced into a marriage with a bimbo, and stumbles on a murder mystery and all sorts of wacky hijinks ensue. In comparison, the ’13 film is also a product of its times, with the main character being burned on on his corporate job, one with The National Geographic, which was being bought out by a much larger, soulless corporation, all with the intent of monetizing its assets, one of which being a photo that’s still out in the field that he’s tasked with collecting.

    The 2013 version is vastly superior, there’s much more introspection and soul searching moments, but I wouldn’t want to discount the 1947 version, as it’s still a completely entertaining film with some really classic moments that work very well in context.
