M[c]S Sister Sites
Tags:Interesting, Internet-Fight.com
Oh hello.
As I’m sure you are aware, I have a couple other sites out on the interwebs. Please allow me to introduce you to a few of them that you might like.
Adams Wallpaper
At one time, I was all like “oh snap, I got a free url” and this is what came from that. It has pictures that might be suitable for your desktop.
Choose Your own Adventures
This site is awesome, but sadly my writing skills suck. I’m looking for someone to put content up on it.
Crutch Of The Weak
The most recent addition to the TWG, this site is going to receive most of my anti-religion comments and images, so that m[c]s isn’t flooded with them. Looking for authors for this site as well.
Comic Covers
The very first URL that I ever owned, it has about 70,000 comic book covers on it. I’m not 100% happy with the way the site is set up, but there it is.
Comic Images
Originally, this site was going to be just images of various comic book characters, but it’s somehow morphed into a quasi XXX comic books babes website. You can always upload your own comic book related images here.
Dirty Limerick
A different dirty limerick every day. Fun times. <a href=https://www.dirtylimerick.com/feed/>You should subscribe to it’s rss feed.</a>
Image Leech
I honestly have no clue what I was thinking when I got this site, because it’s not as if there is a huge lack of image hosting sites out on the net, and 99% of those do it better. You can upload any image you want, and you’ll get a URL to use on your website.
Internet Fight
A half baked idea of a website that the m[c]s IRC channel constantly mocks. Bastards. Anyone can suggest a poll.
Random Nude
The second most popular website that I currently have a finger in. (hehe) Pictures of naked people. That’s it. Anyone can upload images.
Secret Files & Origins
Much like Image-leech, there are other sites out there that do this better, but this one is mine.
Shirt Fight
You see shirts pop up on m[c]s every now and then, and they’re from this site. Right now there’s only about 500 shirts, but after January 1st, there will be a couple thousand lined up, with a new shirt being posted every couple hours. After this date, you’ll only see a random one on m[c]s every now and then, so if you want to keep up on the latest and greatest t-shirt releases, go subscribe to the shirt-fight rss feed.
Star Trek Book Club
How in the fuck did I get this url? And why the fuck can’t I figure out how to make money off it?
Star Wars Book Club
Same question as above. You’d think that I would be able to figure it out, but I’m usually too drunk to care.
Zoom Comics
Comic book related wallpapers, one a day. Not sure what else I could do with this url, other then open my own comic book company 😉
Ok, so that’s my stable of websites. They’re all open for people to post on, if you can’t figure out how to do it from the site’s link, then send me an email or something. Same goes if you have a suggestion for one of the sites.
Bucket Dog Likes The Bucket
Tags:Cute As Hell Animals, Humor
My buddy does repo, he saw this ugly bastard sitting in a bucket. He didn’t bark, he didn’t even move. He just sat there staring at him. The dog is fail.
miley cyrus pics
Illegal to nom. But oh so nommable. Also she looks a lot like MILF porn star Bailey O’dare in this photo.
Little GTO
1968 Pontiac GTO
So the starter went out in my car, so while I pine for my baby, I decided to look up some more muscle car porn to distract myself. I though this be a certainly nice one to share.
The 1968 GTO was probably one of the baddest looking cars ever to be made. Imagine driving through the desert, middle of nowhere, and this monster is trailing you. You know your car can’t outrun it.
Trial Bike Jump
The guy laying on the ground is an instructor with the Pridmore Star School. The guy on the bike was a fellow student who just happened to be one of the top trial bike riders. During lunch he brought his bike out and played around a little. The instructor was not very excited about being in that position but he survived. Trial bikes are pretty neat to watch in motion.
Censorship Causes Blindness
And so does staring at the sun. Especially if you’re staring at the sun in China.
Kids Day At The Liquor Store
Taken by a buddy of mine on his lunch break.
“Kids, keep staring at the clown. Daddy’s gotta throw down some jeager.
Li Wei “Danger Art”
Chinese artist Li Wei from Beijing started off his performance series ‘Mirroring’ and later on took off attention with his ‘Falls’ series which shows the artist with his head and chest embedded into the ground. His work is a mixture of performance art and photography that creates illusions of a sometimes dangerous reality. Li Wei states that these images are not computer montages and works with the help of props such as mirror, metal wires, scaffolding and acrobatics.
Ultimate Cosplay Girl
Stare long and hard, I’m certain the character’s name will pop into your head.
MP3 Ratings?
Dear MCS:
I’d been using winamp for years upon years, and it’s been great. I just recently found out that if you move your music collect from folder X to folder Y, you lose all your ratings information, and you will never get it back. So, I tried Media Monkey, which according to my google-fu is the only mp3 player that stores the ratings in the file itself, and not in some arbitrary xml file that get deleted everytime you sneeze.
However, I’m having trouble using MM, as it likes to just max out my cpu at 100%, and the music starts to stutter like a mother fucker. THIS is annoying to say the least. So, a litte more google-fu and everyone is raving about foobar2000. only problem? no support for file ratings afaik.
So tell me. How can I have a mp3 collection of over 40 gigs, and have the ratings in the files? Is it really so much to ask? And please, no itunes, that shit is satan.
Also, I’d love to be able to sync the songs that are top rated / top played to a usb drive, so I can play them in my truck.
Beer Street and Gin Lane
Beer Street
Beer Street and Gin Lane are a pair of 1751 engravings by William Hogarth in support of the then-proposed Gin Act 1751. This Act of Parliament made the distillation of gin illegal in England. Beer Street shows a happy city drinking the ‘good’ beverage of English beer, whereas Gin Lane claims to show what would happen if people started drinking gin, a harder liquor. People are shown as healthy, happy and hard working in Beer Street, while in Gin Lane they are scrawny, lazy and acting carelessly, including a drunk mother accidentally sending her baby tumbling to its doom.

M81: Feeding a Black Hole
Explanation: This impressive color composite shows spiral galaxy M81 across the electromagnetic spectrum. It combines X-ray data (blue) from the Chandra Observatory, infrared data (pink) from the Spitzer Space Telescope, and an ultraviolet image (purple) from the GALEX satellite, with a visible light (green) Hubble image. The inset highlights X-rays from some of M81’s black holes, including black holes in binary star systems with about 10 times the mass of the sun, as well as the central, supermassive black hole of over 70 million solar masses. Comparing computer models of the giant black hole’s energy output to the multiwavelength data suggests that feeding that monster is relatively simple — energy and radiation is generated as material in the central region swirls inwards forming an accretion disk. In fact, the process otherwise appears to be just like the accretion process feeding M81’s stellar mass black holes, even though the central black hole is millions of times more massive. M81 itself is about 70,000 light-years across and only 12 million light-years away in the northern constellation Ursa Major.

Doctor Horrible
Tags:Awesome Things, Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, Movies, Music
During the WGA strike Joss Whedon started writing a three part musical series for the internet. Each of the three episodes will be approximately ten minutes each.
“It’s the story of a low-rent super-villain, the hero who keeps beating him up, and the cute girl from the laundromat he’s too shy to talk to.â€Â
“Doctor Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog†stars Neil Patrick Harris as Dr. Horrible, Nathan Fillion as Captain Hammer, Felicia Day as Penny and a cast of dozens.â€Â
And yes NPH sings…
Max Payne Promo Pics
Starring Mark Wahlberg, i dont know why but i have high hopes for this movie…probably cause of the following resons
1. the trailer was awesome.
2. it has mark wahlberg in it (but i guess he lost a little of his credibility after ‘the happening’)
3. Rockstar games wont sell out on a cheap script cause there quite picky when it comes to these kinda things…. i hope!!
Does anyone know what those flying things are?? there were no such things in the game though….
RIP Don S. Davis
Don S. Davis (General Hammond on Stargate SG-1) passed away this last Sunday of a heart attack. I was pissed when he was replaced on the show and am now saddened that he will never return.

Joseph Longo’s Plasma Converter
Tags:Forum Fodder, Politics, Sad :(, Science!, WTF
my favorite excerpts from the article:
How It Works: Startech´s trash converter uses superheated plasma-an electrically conductive mass of charged particles (ions and electrons) generated from ordinary air-to reduce garbage to its molecular components. First the trash is fed into an auger that shreds it into small pieces. Then the mulch is delivered into the plasma chamber, where the superheated plasma converts it into two by-products. One is a syngas composed mostly of hydrogen and carbon monoxide, which is fed into the adjacent Starcell system to be converted into fuel. The other is molten glass that can be sold for use in household tiles or road asphalt.
Called plasma gasification, it works a little like the big bang, only backward (you get nothing from something). Inside a sealed vessel made of stainless steel and filled with a stable gasâ€â€either pure nitrogen or, as in this case, ordinary airâ€â€a 650-volt current passing between two electrodes rips electrons from the air, converting the gas into plasma. Current flows continuously through this newly formed plasma, creating a field of extremely intense energy very much like lightning.
The radiant energy of the plasma arc is so powerful, it disintegrates trash into its constituent elements by tearing apart molecular bonds. The system is capable of breaking down pretty much anything except nuclear waste, the isotopes of which are indestructible. The only by-products are an obsidian-like glass used as a raw material for numerous applications, including bathroom tiles and high-strength asphalt, and a synthesis gas, or “syngas”â€â€a mixture of primarily hydrogen and carbon monoxide that can be converted into a variety of marketable fuels, including ethanol, natural gas and hydrogen.
Perhaps the most amazing part of the process is that it’s self-sustaining. Just like your toaster, Startech’s Plasma Converter draws its power from the electrical grid to get started. The initial voltage is about equal to the zap from a police stun gun. But once the cycle is under way, the 2,200ËšF syngas is fed into a cooling system, generating steam that drives turbines to produce electricity. About two thirds of the power is siphoned off to run the converter; the rest can be used on-site for heating or electricity, or sold back to the utility grid. “Even a blackout would not stop the operation of the facility,” Longo says.

Theme day: Collections – Namelis1’s bootleg pc games collection.
Pic1: Overview of the box: Dug this box up from the closet just for the MCS crowd! I reckon its about a 250 games or so. Alot of them in simple burned CD’s in the Pie-stacks, or slim cases.
Pic2: Most of the cd’s were incredibly low quality crap shipped from Russia/Asia to Lithuania. Most of the games promised a Russian and English version. It was incredibly frustrating to get a Russian only game. Also from my Russian speaking friends I heard that the games were translated into pidgin-Russian gibberish from time to time.
Pic3: A closeup of some of the jewel cased titles.
Pic4: We used to get quite a kick from these.
In the picture, there is a Protos alien from Starcraft. However the game is Colobot(really cool one though).
Pic5: Found a few Sega Mega Drive 3 (known as Genesis to the US) Cartridges. Old times. I had about 30 of these, but lost/gave away most.
P.s. sorry for the blinding flash-back’s, but my camera thinks that a well lit room is total darkness.
Imaginary sunrise on an extra-solar planet
Explanation: On planet Gliese 876d, sunrises might be dangerous. Although nobody really knows what conditions are like on this close-in planet orbiting variable red dwarf star Gliese 876, the above artistic illustration gives one impression. With an orbit well inside Mercury and a mass several times that of Earth, Gliese 876d might rotate so slowly that dramatic differences exist between night and day. Gliese 876d is imagined above showing significant volcanism, possibly caused by gravitational tides flexing and internally heating the planet, and possibly more volatile during the day. The rising red dwarf star shows expected stellar magnetic activity which includes dramatic and violent prominences. In the sky above, a hypothetical moon has its thin atmosphere blown away by the red dwarf’s stellar wind. Gliese 876d excites the imagination partly because it is one of the few extrasolar planets known to be close to the habitable zone of its parent star.

MCS NEWS
Wow, I almost had a heart attack tonight. Looking into my liquor cabinet, I found all sorts of vodka, tequila, and variously other liquor products, but not the nectar of my eye : Jack Daniels. Seriously, I almost cried! I do happen to happily to live about 30 seconds from an ABC liquor (literally, it’s two turns from my street, and about 300 feet down the road) but it was still stressful. Luckily I found a gallon of the stuff sitting on top of my fridge, so I’m in good shape. Whew.

Site upgrade
Ladies and Gentleme, MCS is now running WordPress 2.5
You’ll see a little difference on the backend, but not much else is going to be different for your experience on the site. I’m lucky in that I was able to get this done before I got too drunk tonight, which I’m just about to the point where clicking on my mouse is a confusing process.
On a totally different subject, is anyone playing Tabula Rasa on the eastern server? I bought it for 10 bucks from amazon.com last week and I just started it, and would love to meet someone (ANYONE) in the game. It’s fairly dead on there right now, which is a damn shame. You get to shoot shit in it.
If you see any bugs, or if anything scares you, please feel free to send me an IM or hit the IRC channel and complain about it.
