Three things that bug me about Peter Jackson’s dwarves:
1- Some dwarves look like handsome humans… do I really need the leading male dwarf to look like Brad Pitt?
2- One dwarf looks like fat bastard. You saw it too.
3- Another dwarf (Bofur) looks like Subotai from Conan the Barbarian.
It all comes together as a very commercial movie that adapted a classic to meet todays consumers. It was a lost opportunity to introduce todays consumers to a classic.

1932 Ford Custom

”Twice Blown” is a 1932 Ford Sedan Delivery custom pro street. It is street legal, but nowhere close to normal. Each engine produces 1,250 horsepower. Each motor has its own fuel system, starter, alternator, and computer system. Both motors can be tuned separately with a laptop computer and then joined together. This is all on a chassis custom engineered to handle 2,500 horsepower paired with a fiberglass Gibbon body.

Kia’s Wonder Woman Car Is Not Invisible

…the Wonder Woman Sportage adds an aero kit, and is finished in a red and blue paint scheme accented with silver stars, much like the heroine’s outfit. The gold trim on parts of the CUV represent Wonder Woman’s Lasso of Truth, while the Tiger Nose grille wears the Wonder Woman’s eagle chest-plate emblem. Blue headlight beams mirror her blue eyes, and the windshield is topped off with a tiara sticker. Chrome side panels represent her invisible jet, and the five-spoke wheels match the stars stamped on the side of the Sportage.

Open up the doors, and red upholstery is highlighted with blue LED accent lighting. The custom seats are embroidered with her logo, and the rear cargo area is decorated with stars and an eagle, along with a see-through panel that displays Wonder Woman’s bracelets, tiara, and her golden lasso.

The LEGO Super Star Destroyer set has a bad rap as a big dull gray set. I decided to change that…

After the death of the Emperor Palpatine and Lord Vader, the Empire made a last ditch attempt to thwart their enemies by rushing to complete their fleet of Venator class super star destroyers. However, by the time these vessels could be deployed, the Rebel Alliance had already developed its own super weapon, designation KR-KN.

The Legend of the KR-KN: A rare species of Space Kraken, known to exist only in the vast Dreighton Nebula, were sought out using the the Jedi’s most powerful clairvoyants, and brought under the Alliance’s control by flying super-computers directly into their brains. Many brave Ewok pilots were unwillingly sacrificed to accomplish this difficult task. Far from being cruel to the Kraken, this arrangement was completely symbiotic, as the creatures had evolved to prey on starships, their diet being composed entirely of metals such as quadanium steel.

Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston have only been broken up a few weeks, but Paul is already getting all sappy and posting old pictures of his “Breaking Bad” co-star on Instagram.

The photos of Cranston find the former Walter White looking matchy-matchy with the pink teddy bear who crash landed in the White family pool in Season 2. It turns out the former Heisenberg is as fond of pink as Marie was of purple. The pictures were first posted by “Breaking Bad” writer-producer Moira Walley-Beckett.

He has 250 varieties available to pick – and astonishingly, they’re all growing on just one tree.

The horticulturist has spent 24 years meticulously developing the tree in his back garden in Chidham, near Chichester, West Sussex, grafting on new varieties every winter.

The tree’s fruits now include rare cooking apples such as the Withington Fillbasket, which originated in 1883, and Eady’s Magnum, from 1908, as well as more recognisable favourites.

Mr Barnett, 40, said yesterday: ‘I started working at a nursery with acres of land and around 90 varieties of apple trees in rows.

‘I wanted to grow my own trees but I didn’t have the area to plant that number so I started a “family tree” where I can have all the different varieties in a smaller amount of space. I add to it each year by budding in the summer and grafting in the winter.’

This Is The End movie review (and wallpaper!)

After seeing Oblivion, Star Trek, Iron Man 3 and finally ‘Man of Steel’, it’s been a fairly lack luster summer of movies for 2013, all razzle dazzle with little to no real feeling or pizzazz. Thank GOD for for Seth Rogan and his pot friendly friends, because “This Is The End” is finally a movie that didn’t sing a loud song and then fall flat in the presentation.  Superman had me just flat out not caring that an entire city was being demolished, Star Trek shit all over my favorite scifi characters, Oblivion was just 5 repackaged movies starring Tom Cruise, Iron Man 3 felt like a 90’s comic book movie…’This Is The End’ though?  This movie was good.  It was funny, it was visually appealing, it had more guest stars that I would even know how to list out…the summer was saved by this filthy pot film.

It was filthy.  And GOOD.
