I had to stop using a wordpress plugin by the name of “Jetpack” because it was straight up crashing my entire server every day at 11am, which was weird as fuck, but there it is. There were two main reasons for using the plugin:
1 – stats. I was also getting those from google analytics, so no big loss there. That being said, I hate using google analytics, it’s really bad at just telling me how many page views I had on a particular day.
2 – Posts by E-Mail, this was a big loss, there were about 50 people getting email notifications about posts. As of about 10 minutes ago I solved that, but it means that the emails are going to be coming directly from the MCS server instead of WordPress.com. If you’re subscribed via email but not seeing them, check your spam folder and start marking them as not spam if required.

I’m assuming they were starting a new show format, much like Agents of SHIELD, where there’s a couple different story pods in a single season that all reference back to each other, but unfortunately for them they only got half a season and a cancellation soon after. First half of the season was ok, the second half was balls out just crazy with legit magic, the actual morgan le fey, time travel, and all sorts of nonsense that made no sense but made for a fun ride.

John Romita Jr’s Iron Man art is fantastic. The story doesn’t really do it for me, but I’m all about that art.

Petty Project Image #091 Model: Tiffinie Today’s airbrushed style pinup photo is another entry to the Petty Project. This one features model Tiffinie, from a shoot we did several years ago. These Petty Project recreations take many hours to put together and require a lot of concentration which is the reason they take so long, however this Petty recreation was created with new methods that sped up the process quite a bit. It took about two and a half nights worth of work (still many hours) to put this together from over 30 photos taken during the shoot. Tiffinie was an incredible model to work with who really put in the effort to get as close as possible to the original pinup shot in the studio. The original Petty artwork is actually from an August 1941 issue of Esquire magazine. What is the Petty Project? The project started as an idea in 2008 to honor the well known Pinup artist of the 1930s through the 1950s; George Petty. Inventor of the famed ‘Petty Girl,’ Petty’s works were popular in the 1930s-1940s issues and calendars of Esquire magazine which inspired hundreds of Nose Art pinups on aircraft during World War 2. Petty’s style embodied the classic essence of the pinup and catapulted the art-form into a national sensation and symbol. To honor Petty’s work, the idea came about to recreate the classic Petty Girls through studio photography & computer manipulation to bring new awareness to this forgotten style… Check out the Original Petty #091 Artwork here: petty.dietzdolls.com/finished/Petty-091-Implied-Tiffinie-… For more info on the Petty Project, George Petty, the models for the Project, and to see more finished works check out the website: petty.momentscapture.com Online Pinup Print and Poster Store: www.dietzdolls.com/catalog © Dietz Dolls Vintage Pinup Photography: www.dietzdolls.com Facebook Fan Page: www.facebook.com/DietzPinupPhotography
The Dead Don’t Die
Tags:Movie of the Year 2019, Movie Posters, Movie Reviews, Movies
Why don’t the dead die? Well, there’s a theme song for that.
This is a goofy and surreal zombie story that has enough of a weird element that I’d suggest you watch it while not being distracted by something else.

The Mortal Engines Quartet
Tags:Book Of The Year 2019, Book Reviews, Books, Mortal Engines
I watched the fantastically ridiculous movie and figured that it had a number of cool ideas that I should check out the book series that the movie was based on. The first book was pretty verbatim what happened in the movie, so I moved onto the second book, it introduced more better aerial content, but still lacked a hook to keep me going. it was at this point that I gave up on the series for about a month, then picked it back up when I bought a couple other books that I figured I’d read after I finished this series.
I finished the series and while I didn’t hate it, it was always on the cusp of being uninteresting. The final book is thankfully the best of the four, with much more of the back history of the world that came before the traction cities starting roaming the hunting grounds.
If you happen to pick this up, be sure to get the version that has the index at the end of it, it has a timeline of things that I found incredibly interesting.
Never Surrender A Galaxy Quest Documentary

Directed by Jack Bennett. Filmmakers and stars discuss the filming and social effects of Galaxy Quest, a comedic take-off on the Star Trek franchise with brilliant commentary not only on the Star Trek series but on the real-life actors themselves.
Terminator Dark Fate
Tags:Movie of the Year 2019, Movie Reviews, Movies, Terminator: Dark Fate
An entertaining follow up to Terminator 1 and Terminator 2 which discards everything that came after it. The TV show and the other movies are now just alternate futures that never happened. The series has always played fast and loose with timelines and who’s done what and when, so the slight invalidation of these possible futures isn’t too painful.
Seeing Linda Hamilton back on screen was a pleasure and Mackenzie Davis is an fitting addition to the franchise. It took me a while to place where I knew the new Rev 9 Terminator from, that’s Gabriel Luna, who played the best supernatural guest start that Agents of SHEILD had for it’s entire run: Ghost Rider! I still hold out hope that he’ll come back to the character, though it’s sounding like we’re going to get more Blaze action instead.
Dark Fate is worth the price of admission, all the set pieces are worth your time to watch in a legit theater.
Comic Review for week of September 4th 2019
I remember reading this back in the day and being less than impressed. I’m still not impressed too much, but I’m happy to see the character getting the attention she deserves.
A lovely and enjoyable story of a Skeleton and his friend rat, both of whom must go under disguise to hide themselves from the simple villagers they live with. A top hat and a mustache work, naturally.
I was missing #5, but that came it, but now it’s stuck in my “to read” pile, which isn’t getting any smaller.
I didn’t think I’d ever see Night Thrasher in a comic again, but here we are with him teaming up with the Punisher of all people.
Insanity in comic book form, love what’s going on here.
Super sidekick here doing stuff.
I’ll need to sit down and re-read all of these again, because I’m pretty lost with the story, or even the setting.
Fallen World is a lead in to another future story, so I’m happy with it. War Mother is even here!
A good start to a story that ultimately is going to just be a lead in to a video game that I’m not going to play, so I’m not sure how much I should be expecting of it.
I just read this book last night and I honestly can’t remember much about it.
Fantastic space escapades written for adults, with impressive art and pacing, this is what comics should be.
The resolution of the lost storage unit. Awesome plot device, good wrap up.
Even the smartest hulk is still a hulk.
Not a huge fan of this story line, but apparently this series does not have many issues left.
I tried reading this and mostly got through it, but other than being impressed with the “parody” cover, this wasn’t a very good comic book.
I’m really happy with the IDW marvel universe, this series is the best of them.
I DID miss this, thank you for showing me!

An enjoyable descent into madness starting one of my favorite actresses, Rosa Salazar. I’m not especially happy with the ending, it’s far too open for interpretation, but the journey to the final moments was captivating.
