Are you familiar with Transformers? Are you familiar with Lindsay Ellis, youtube superstar? Did you know she loves the Transformers?
If you didn’t, well you should know this, and know that she’s intentionally doing a quasi fan fiction / alternative universe story that sorta looks like Transformers, but is completely it’s own thing. I appreciate what she’s doing here and I’ll pick up the sequels that are obviously coming, but I do hope that she gets her writing up to the same level of quality that her youtube videos have been for the last couple years. That’s not to say this was a bad book, but it did take me a few chapters to decide that I was going to stick with it, that first third of the book is pretty rough. It’s a good first outing though for any author, it’s hard for me to see the obvious great work she does in video and realize that yeah, she’s a brand new writer in the science fiction realm and that it’s obvious that not everyone’s first book is going to be a complete homerun.
I will say I was somewhat put off by the sub/dom sexual relationships between the humans and robots. Maybe that can be explained away, but I’m not really sure where that stuff was going and it made me feel weird.

Top slot games developers
The world of slot and online slot gambling is so extremely large these days that it can be very easy to forget that these gambling games were only invented back in the late 1800s. This therefore means that they are a lot younger than other popular casino gambling games like roulette or blackjack, yet they have become so much more popular these days. Of course, a lot of this is down to the new world of online casino, in which online slots have proven themselves to be by far the most popular online casino game in the world.
And why is that? Well, if it were not for the online slot developers such as NetEnt or Big Time Gaming consistently seeking to push things forward and innovate wherever they can the online slots industry as a whole would be nowhere near as successful. It all stems from the game developers ultimately, because without these people there wouldn’t be nearly as many wicked online slot games for people to play – discover and try slots now. Keep reading for some of the top slot games developers in 2020.
Big Time Gaming
Big Time Gaming are amongst the newer breed of online slot developers becoming famous in the 21st century, however they have already boosted their profile enough to contend with the big players in the online slots industry such as NetEnt and Microgaming. The British developer are best known for their incredibly forward-thinking work on the Megaways game mechanic, something that has blown the market wide open.
With Megaways slots gamblers can enjoy over 100,000 ways to win, and there is no surprise that this technology has taken off very quickly since. Megaways slots used to exclusive to Big Time Gaming, however in recent years the slot developer has sold the patent to other brands, ensuring that the market is flooded with Megaways style online slots.
NetEnt
If you were to ask most seasoned online slot gamblers about their favourite developers they would almost definitely come back with NetEnt. The Scandinavian online casino powerhouse has been at the forefront of the online slots industry pretty much since the beginning, and they have amassed a scarily consistent catalogue of slot games since then, characterised by super clear HD graphics and expansive bonus features.
You just know you are going to be playing a quality online slot when it comes to NetEnt, and the company haven’t taken the foot of the gas in 2020 either. Nobody does it quite like NetEnt, that’s for sure!
Microgaming
Microgaming are another online slot developer that have been around since the very start of the industry, quickly gaining a reputation for stand out online slots, and massive win potential too. In fact, it is this last area that has made Microgaming the most famous, especially in regard to the Microgaming Progressive Jackpot Network that has made countless gamblers millionaires over the last several years.
You just cannot go wrong with Microgaming, as hugely successful games like Mega Moolah are evidence of.

This was Mark Toia’s first film and by golly I look forward to seeing more from him, this was a well done first outing. Whoever they had doing the robots also deserves a nod as well, I’m pretty sure they’re motion captured, but the end result is believably scary when things start to go wrong.
Spaceballs

What a lousy, good for nothing, absolutely horrible experience this was. Not the movie itself mind you, it’s still one of the best Star Wars / Star Trek parodies ever released and is a fantastic highlight of the careers of John Candy, Rick Moranis, Bill Pullman, and even Mel Brooks. What I’m referring to now is the 4k transfer itself, which is the worst that I’ve seen since Days of Thunder, with digital noise in absolutely every scene and color banding all over the place. I only spent $5 on it through Vudu, but I regret spending even that much.
If you have a hunger for Spaceballs in your mouth, skip the 4k version of the film and just pull out the blueray copies that you already own.
You do already own it, right?

Low budget but extremely high aspirations with aliens that over 14,000 years old, this is equal parts Screamers, Hardware, and The Right Stuff. The low budget stays out of the way for the most part, but it’s really through the saving grace of having Walter Koenig in the film that elevates it to a must watch for campy science fiction fans. It’s a shame that he didn’t take the same carrier path as his co-star in this film, as he shows that he definitely has the chops for it. Imagine a universe where we had two people of that caliber out there making great campy scifi!
I only watched this because Mr Koenig mentioned it in one of his recent books and he recounted that there was a scene in which a female costar took off her top and he made a solemn vow to her to just look at her eyes and not the more obvious things that he could be watching out for, like murderous robots from The Moon. True to his word, the scene in question featured him staring at her pretty eyes instead of her other assets that she was unleashing.

The Wizard of Oz

I was lazing about on my couch as my roku 4k player scrolled through it’s city scape screensaver and I saw one of the buildboard ads for HBO Max, featuring The Wizard of Oz. It’s been years since I’ve seen it and I needed to get HBO Max installed so I could watch the new WW84 movie (which turned out to be perfectly meh), but by clicking on the ad, they got me to install the app (what a chore! had to hand type everything in, no phone login!), but immediately after the install, The WOZ started right up, it was an alarmingly seemless series of events.
This was one of my mom’s favorite movies, so I decided to stick around and watch the whole thing. It wasn’t in 4k (no much on HBO Max is) though I know there’s a 4k treatment for it out there. Maybe in a few years I can get the 4k disk and give it a go, but this simple HD version of the film still impressed, and I’m happy I stuck around to watch the entire thing.

I guessed what was going to happen 5 minutes in, but that didn’t really detract from the rest of the movie. It was good, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to recommend it to anyone specifically. The soundtrack for it however, it utterly amazing and is likely going to end up in heavy rotation at my house.
The outer space scenes outside of the spaceship were among the best I’ve seen in 4k, so if you want something to show people what your new 4k setup can do, this would be a good choice to start with.
The Hunt

Betty Gilpin is an absolute treasure in this film and is honestly the only thing that keeps it from sinking into pure b-movie bullshit. It’s mostly just her acting abilities, but the role itself is written in a way that rejects the corny polemic storyline that’s going on in the background of her story of just wanting to have a smoke and go home.
I did enjoy the cornucopia scene, I think they deliberately make it initially feel like the Hunger Games, just to put you in the right frame of mind, along with a few guest star appearances that really tickled my fancy.
Skylines

The third film in an unlikely trilogy of films, the first of which was theatrically released, but the second went straight to VOD, I dont’ think they even pressed it to plastic. Surprisingly though, the second of the two was the stronger of the films and did more with the world they built than the first one did. It’s obvious someone with money agrees with that opinion, because here we are with a third film that’s just a strong as the second one with appearances by Alexander Siddig (star trek: DS9, Game of thrones), Rhona Mitra (The Last Ship, Underworld), and staring Lindsey Morgan, who I best know from The 100 and loved her dearly from my time watching that show. It’s a fun movie that never struggles with the idea it should take itself seriously and there’s no need to catch up on the previous films as there’s a convenient “the world till now” synopsis right at the beginning.

A remake of a better film (Force Majeure) this one stars two of America’s most known and best recognized comedians in a film that doesn’t seem it intends to be a film about funny people. My problem is I’m nearly completely unable to take either Julia Louis-Dreyfus nor Will Ferell seriously, which this story really does demand that the actors not be mugging for the camera in every scene and that they have a certain amount of anonymity that these two simply don’t have. They definitely didn’t play anything up for laughs, but it’s hard to break away from the expectation that they were going to start making SNL level jokes or start going down the ski hills backwards.
There’s some big changes here too, which I don’t think service the story very well at all. In the original, the father does straight up abandon his family, but it’s clear that there’s room for interpretation in his actions for what his intent was, even if he didn’t know himself. In this English remake, it’s obvious that the father is out for himself and the wife turns into a straight up horror show of uncomfortable emotions.
Had I never seen the original, this remake would get a “meh” from me, but having seen the superior film, the remake gets a solid “boo” for both it’s casting choices and story changes.
The Intergalactic Adventures of Max Cloud

It’s about a girl that gets sucked into a video game and has to fight her way out. You may say to yourself, golly that sure does sound like the recent “Jumanji” films that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson stars in, and you’d be completely right about that! It’s just like that, just different, and in some ways, better! There’s no one here like The Rock where he’s The Rock playing The Rock in a Rock video game, and several of the fight scenes here in Max Cloud actually have legitimate fighting game feels to them.
There are a few familiar actors, but I don’t spoil it too much for you when I say that the famous people aren’t the primary draw, it’s the main two characters that I like the best.
Grow Up
A wonderful way to end 2020, it starts out exactly how the previous game did, but ends with a fully powered glider that lets you go into orbit of the tiny world that you crash land in to. I fully enjoyed myself and loved what they did to expand the concept from the first game, which was fun but I was happy when it was over.
Gambling Addiction and the effects of gambling on our life
Are you worried about someone’s gambling habit in your home? Without a doubt, it is the spouses, family members and loved ones who suffer as a result of gambling addiction—knowing what course of action to take can be difficult. Stop gambling forever is a solution that can help the player in your family to accept their problem and stop playing. For the compulsive gambler, knowing there is a problem and admitting there is a problem are two different things. For the rest of the family, they simply know that there is a problem, a problem that needs to be addressed.

“I AM A LEAF ON THE WIND;
WATCH HOW I SOAR”Return to the critically-acclaimed world of Joss Whedon’s Firefly in an all new graphic novel spotlighting Hoban “Wash” Washburne, pilot of the spaceship Serenity…who has just realized he’s about to die.
As Wash’s life flashes before him, he revisits the most important, never before revealed moments in his life, from growing up on a planet so ravaged by pollution that no star could shine in the sky to meeting the woman of his dreams in Zoe, who would become his wife and create a life with him beyond his wildest imagination.
And in those final moments, Wash will reach out to connect with a surprising someone he never thought possible to meet…proving that some bonds transcend our mortal coils.
Writer Greg Pak and artists Davide Gianfelice and Lalit Kumar Sharma come together to present the unforgettable untold stories of the ‘Verse’s most lovable hero set during his final moments – and how love survives even when we don’t.
At no point during this book does Wash realize he’s about to die, and it’s a much better book for that one difference from the synopsis. It’s a collection of loosely related stories by various artists and authors that follow Wash’s life from his start of dinosaur appreciation as a young lad to a far future that could have been.
I’m a big fan of about half the art, but all of the stories and it breaks my heart that the ‘verse that we know is without Wash, but we’ll always be able to ponder what could have been.
