“Lego Batman: The Movie – DC Super Heroes Unite” Review

Lego Batman: The Movie – DC Super Heroes Unite: Directed by Jon Burton. With Clancy Brown, Troy Baker, Christopher Corey Smith, Charlie Schlatter. When the Joker and Lex Luthor form an alliance, Batman must team up with the Justice League in order to stop them.

This came in a weird movie bundle of like 30 animated DC movies that was being sold for just $10 a few months back on Vudu and I’m just now getting around to watching anything from the bundle. I think I’ve actually seen this one in the past, as the story was familiar. Many of the location designs were lifted entirely from the LEGO Batman games, so I’m assuming this is a movie set in that universe and not the LEGO Batman movie universe, which is confusing enough to include it in the LEGO Movie. Marvel has nothing on the LEGO-Verse.

This version of LEGO Batman does lack on the scripting side of things and is missing some of the magic that made the theatrical version so appealing.  Not a complete miss, but just not as great.
