    “Foundation” Season 2 Review

Foundation: Created by Josh Friedman, David S. Goyer. With Jared Harris, Lou Llobell, Leah Harvey, Terrence Mann. A complex saga of humans scattered on planets throughout the galaxy all living under the rule of the Galactic Empire.

There’s some really amazing space stuff happening in this second season and they’ve worked their way around the obvious issues of adapting a book series set over the span of thousands of years to the realities of doing a long form television show with actors that need to be contracted for more than just a couple episodes. They’ve luckily avoided the weird shift that comes with changing actors half way through a season, something that House of Dragons tried (and failed imho), and have a story in the works that’s doing the source material justice.

  • “Air” Review

Follows the history of sports marketing executive Sonny Vaccaro, and how he led Nike in its pursuit of the greatest athlete in the history of basketball, Michael Jordan.

A well enough done story about the rich white guys that got even more rich off the fame of Michael Jordon. It’s not framed like that, with the impression that it’s an underdog story, but it’s clear that while Nike wasn’t the massive company it’s become now, it was still large enough to be in the same game as the top 5 shoe companies.

    “Extraordinary” Season 1 Review

Jen is a self-aware young woman who lives in a world where everybody except her has a superpower.

So much different than what I thought I was in for, but in a fun and good way. The show has a high enough budget and whimsical enough premise that the lack of super heroics in a series about people with super powers isn’t at all noticeable. In fact, like all good shows, this is more about the personal journey than it is about the power set of the main characters.
