Uhm, so I thought this was a no brainer. I even chipped in more than the minimum…. because reasons. I wanted books on my Kindle to be able to read at my leisure.
However, trying it out for the first time, Humble delivers the books via Kobo, which I just learned was direct competitor for Kindle.
Three and a half hours later….. I got the first book on my Kindle.
Rather than belly ache some more about it..
I loaded Adobe digital editions which allowed me to open ACSM files from Kobo
Then a Reddit post on how to use Calibre, which had links to De-acsm plug in, and then a De-drm plug in.
Hole. Lee. Fook. Inn. Shite. I really understand why people pirate even when I was was able to get the books legally for pennies (stopped due to too many piracy notices, haven’t searched for bullet proof methods of torrenting).
