I had one of these in high school. You could program all kinds of formulas and whatnot into them. The best part is, the teachers didn't realize it was a computer. I'm pretty sure the only reason I aced Algebra II was because of one of these things. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Cool story, bro.

Holy Hell. I need to sit down and watch this again. I haven't seen it in decades. When it hit HBO back in the early 80s I woke up at 4am to watch it before I went to school. It was total amazeballs when I was 10.

I've seen The Omega Man and Will Smith's version. Both had their pluses and minuses but I don't feel that either of them captured the spirit of the ending of the book.

I remember the most frustrating thing about it was the boss battles. The final guy could take 200 grenades to the face and keep going. Fun overall and had some good voice actors. David Duchovny and Adam West seemed to be having some fun with their roles.

So, when someone breaks into your house at 3am, all you have to do is wake up, remove the mattress, unlock the safe and you're suddenly packing heat? That's almost as useless as calling the police. It would be a great hiding spot, though. It's just not very effective if you want to get to your guns, you know, quickly.
