I re-read this every couple of years, and totally agree with you austindav. I found it especially poignant for a couple of years after 9/11 with how the government was using fear to push through certain agendas. Everyday on the news they talked about the new terror level, without giving specific reason as to why the change, or even detailed explanations as to what the different colors really meant. It just seemed to echo my perceptions of that time.

The movie is pretty good, and reminders of The Departed are rampant. Possibly even intentional on the part of the producers. Predictable but worthwhile.

well, Shredder went over a ledge, and they threw a grenade after him. They don't know that he actually died. At least, that is the way I read it. But yeah, they were hard ass. I actually sold this book, along with a bunch of others, at the height of the TMNT craze.
