I re-read this every couple of years, and totally agree with you austindav. I found it especially poignant for a couple of years after 9/11 with how the government was using fear to push through certain agendas. Everyday on the news they talked about the new terror level, without giving specific reason as to why the change, or even detailed explanations as to what the different colors really meant. It just seemed to echo my perceptions of that time.

The movie is pretty good, and reminders of The Departed are rampant. Possibly even intentional on the part of the producers. Predictable but worthwhile. - Comment on This is why I hate girls my age (2011-01-01 18:31:51)

He was a bad guy because he fanatically worked for the Kree government, who often had problems with Earth. On the kree planet, he is a hero of the people. - Comment on the galaxy's mightiest heroes (2010-09-07 12:42:31)

well, Shredder went over a ledge, and they threw a grenade after him. They don't know that he actually died. At least, that is the way I read it. But yeah, they were hard ass. I actually sold this book, along with a bunch of others, at the height of the TMNT craze. - Comment on Han Solo and Chewbacca today (2010-07-30 13:26:49)
I've met Peter Mayhew a couple of times, and he is always a nice easy going man. I am 6' 3'', and I still had to look up to him though. - Comment on Who`s awesome? Not you. (2010-05-08 10:02:48)

Yeah Kishi, I imagine. The same would go for a kid in the 5th grade watching it live... You know, hypothetically.
