We watched this, or rather, listened to it (dodgy download wouldn't play properly), just the other day. It's completely fascinating. He's not an intellectual. He's a Mid-Westerner with a very strange (and brilliant in its own unique way) mind. Or "Jimmy Stewart from Mars," as Mel Brooks put it.

Saw this for the very first time on the big screen at a film festival! Screening full of 'young people.' Surprisingly, and very gratifyingly, they didn't laugh. Except at the bits that were meant to be funny. (As you'd expect, there aren't many) They didn't even laugh at the practical effects, or even the VR helmet. Still stunningly relevant.
