It's not "made-up", though I know teh Goog is a bit overly complicated for some of us here. Here's an example with citations: http://hypnosis.home.netcom.com/iq_vs_religiosity.htm There are plenty of sources of data for this stuff. In this case, each point on the scattergram represents the average IQ of a country (as reported in a published, reproducible study). The placement left to right indicates another study where respondents answered questions about the importance of religion in their lives. Here's a Pew report showing that poor countries tend to be more religious (except the US...): http://pewglobal.org/reports/display.php?ReportID=167 Also, that Gallup poll on mental health which was cited above only shows that certain types of people are more likely to be confident in their own mental state. Which proves nothing other than arrogance.

In addition to being a hero of fucking epic proportions, that man had balls the size of coconuts. He was born the son of a sharecropper in Alabama, the grandson of a slave, and he lived to win 4 gold medals at the most racially charged event I can imagine. The Nazi Olympics. I used to be ambivalent about Rammstein until I saw them live at X-Fest. They put on a hell of a show. You have to give a guy some points for coming out onto stage while ON FIRE. He also had 3 pedals on stage. 1) shot fire up in the air 2) shot fire out over the crowd 3) shot water out at the crowd. He would use the pedals to alternately scare and sooth the audience. The mosh pit during this madness was dangerously violent; I saw two people get taken out on stretchers. All that was BEFORE Fred Durst came out and incited the crowd to basically riot (for which he later got arrested.)
