Actually Tardex, according to wikipedia, 91% of the information on the interwebs, the surounding area is safe for living and economic use except for a 30km zone known as the zone of alienation, The Chernobyl Zone, The 30 Kilometer Zone, The Zone of Exclusion, The Fourth Zone, or just The Zone. I'm leaning towards the US. Especially if they have anything other then the standard guns (A chopper, tankish vehicle ect. Any of that would sereously fuck them up.) And Phaed, wouldn't a marine be able to pick off the artillery men? Based on the research I didn't do, I'm going to assume that a modern marine has a longer range then a 250 year old cannon.

Last I heard they put it in a very very deep water source, a few hundred feet deep, and let it sit there. I think it reduced the half life time or something similar.

In my opinion, even if it isnt poisonous, or harmful in any way shape or form, seeing a what you think to be killer spider (It HAS to have blood on his lips, or fangs, whatever you wish) and personally, i dont like to have a killer spider jump me, even if it is harmless, so before it does, I die out of sheer fear. Maybe not death, but at least a few hours of cleaning up my own fecal matter.
