Got bored one night, couldn't find much of anything new on hulu.com, noticed this because it had Ron Perlman in it (among others). Watched every ep since and I can't say that I have been disappointed. Matter of fact, I think they still have the first two episodes up on the site (if you want to try it out).

...I think this is a point score for Darwinists.

This image pretty much sums up the flick. Just makes ya squirm in your seat the whole time your watching. One of those fun movies that is an homage to so many greats before it (I was owned from the start with the speedy camera through the woods bit, Evil Dead anyone?). Considering Gunn wrote the screenplay for the Dawn of the Dead remake, somehow I knew it would be worthwhile.

Also....does he remind anyone else of Stan Lee? http://www.imdb.com/media/rm3208092160/nm0001681 http://www.imdb.com/media/rm4236351488/nm0498278

@ home, drinking my emergency bottle of Tullamore Dew, smoking a carton of non-filter Lucky Strikes, watching Denis Leary's No Cure for Cancer special, marinating myself in barbeque sauce...because honestly, I know I wouldn't last long :(

Never have gotten around to seeing this...though I do remember watching the cartoon back when I was a kid...And now I have the theme song stuck in my head. Great.

Watched it at college so many years ago...blew me away. Dafoe really is a versatile actor, when he was doing his Green Goblin routine in Spiderman it reminded me of his acting in this. I also hear the sequel is FINALLY under way...

Was it just me, or could anyone else not watch Ultraviolet without thinking of Equilibrium?

IMO, far better than the remake...

*Accepts his "Welcome to the Interwebs" basket from Dreth* @dieAntagonista--In the end it came down to content. What is it, one page written translates into one minute of screen time? They had to sacrifice most of the story, instead focusing on just a few key events and reinventing the driving plot. I saw the movie first and loved it. John Steakley is one of my favorite writers (Having penned this and Armor) and it took me several years to find this book, finally discovering it in a used book store. The hunt was worthwhile.
  • Comment on Christopher Walken (2008-12-01 16:31:07)
Anyone else think that Walken and Samuel L. Jackson are having a competition to see who completes more films than the other?
  • Comment on war, inc (2008-12-01 16:27:47)
@dieAntagonista If nothing else, I'm fairly certain that everyone else in the cast would make up for it. Truth be told, I can't recall the last time I watched a John Cusack film and did not enjoy it, even if his sister WAS in it...
