I'm guessing they went with this unfortunate color scheme to diferentiate themselves from Marvel Studios' Ronan and the Kree in general, though as this pic shows, bluish grey would have been a better choice for his skin tone.

There's a theory going around suggesting that this is not the "real" Joker. I don't want to get into potential spoiler territory, but for those who are interested in pursuing this theory, Angry Joe uploaded a video discussing it. The "evidence" is rather weak, but the reasoning behind the idea kinda sorta makes sense.

Heh, the Beast pelt in the back always seemed hillarious to me. Like whoever found his body was all like "Poor Hank, he was a great guy, a genius, and a true hero... actually, his fur is way too soft and fluffy to go to waste. Hmmm... guess I'ma skin his corpse and keep his fur as a keepsake."

Hamill will forever be my favorite Joker. Incidentally, Arkham Knight's way of dealing with... um... what happened to the Joker in the previous game... is rather entertaining, and greatly improves the overall experience of the game.
