Very nice, they are kick ass guns. My husband also has one of the Rock Island 1911's for his CCW and got me mine in self defense because I always enjoy shooting his. I almost got the rock Island 9mm but we ended up running across the .45 at a good price.

I forgot to ask, what kind of 1911 did you get your GF? I have a Rock Island Armory commander size in .45 that is a trip to shoot. Although I am much more of a Walther girl. I have 5 different Walther's 3 PP's .380, .32, and a .22lr, along with a PPK/s in .380, and also a P22. I also have several of those fun little NAA mini revolvers. Glad to hear of another Lady who shoots :)

I feel your pain, gotta run all over NE Florida tomorrow. Fortunately there will be booze at the last stop. we both got let go from our jobs for x-mas so things are kinda lame around here :/

Also they are not deadly or dangerous. They can bite, but rarely do so unless REALLY harassed or hurt. They primarily will BOUNCE the web quickly to make themselves look bigger and scare off anything that tries to eat them.

I love argiopes! They are awesome spiders. Don't take the sack inside, the warmth of the house will cause the spiderlings to hatch early and you will end up with them all over the house. I normally take the sacks and put them in my large cactus plant shielded by the spikes, but any sheltered place is good.

Yeah this has been the week from hell on top of the month from hell. The software company we support was late to put out a time sensitive update at the last moment. It is required by all our user base to use the first of next month. Well the company fucked it up. It is blowing customers shit up left and right. The phones have been flooded with angry people. We have no fix, and no eta on a resolution. All we can do is go through the motions and blow smoke up the users asses till they figure out what exactly they fucked up and then find a way to fix it. So we have been working major overtime getting screamed at over and over by the users. The past two weekend our boss (a.k.a. The Uber-bitch) used the natural disaster emergency contacts list to send everyone text messages asking if we were coming in for the weekend. Well apparently not enough people did so Sunday night at about 9 we get a mass text message that stated EVERYONE had to show up at 8 am Monday, regardless of shift and work until they said we could leave. Even those of use scheduled to work the second shift. So thus far I have worked over 25 hours in two days without and end in sight. They ordered us all in at 8 am today and again tomorrow and every day further until the owner feels we are allowed to resume our normal schedules. This is after removing the good boss we had in favor of the Uber-Bitch, who is a brown-nosing back-stabbing iron clad twat. We have been restricted from ALL internet surfing, we are no longer allowed to listen to music on our PC's, we have had our systems encrypted, they took away two of our whopping 6 holidays (The day after Xmas and the day after New years) since they are on the weekend, and we are having to BEG to get time off approved even when we have the PTO to use. When anyone complains we are pointedly told to be thankful we have jobs.
