"Income tax is not applied to existing wealth. " I never said it was. What's your point exactly, Dr Evil? You seem to just grab unrelated points out of your right-wing talking points playbook that have nothing to do with the question. "If these rich people really want to pay more there is nothing to stop them from cutting a check to the treasury and nothing to stop them from taking every deduction, shelter and other accounting strategies to minimize their tax liability." Way to miss the point. Lemme spell it out for you in simple words. We are running a massive deficit, largely because of all the money we give to the richest 1%. That's called welfare. You right wingers hate welfare, right? It's time to pay the bills, and the people who ran up the bill get to pay it. " It is great to advocate for higher tax rates when it will have a minimal personal impact because your wealth is already established and there are numerous ways to move your money so that it won’t be subject to the increased rates." If it will have a minimal impact, why NOT raise them? You need to get the narrative straight. Either higher taxes are going to make the wealthy pull a John Galt and disappear, or there will be no impact. Pick a story and stick with it.

Actually, pretty much this. Even some of the richest people in this country want their taxes raised. I think the Republicans are milking the TAXES ARE BAD NO MATTER WUT thing that worked so well in 2010. - Comment on can't raise taxes on me (2011-10-11 18:54:43)

Judo is a traditional Asian art. It works just fine if trained properly, thank you. Muay Thai is a traditional Asian art. It works just fine if trained properly, thank you. Karate is a traditional Asian art. It works just fine if trained properly, thank you. I could go on, but the point is it's not about WHAT you train, it's HOW you train. I can find 100's of videos of traditional Asian arts working against fully resisting opponents. - Comment on Samurai Vader (2011-10-09 23:58:34)

Most Karate sucks anyway. There are a million guys who punch the air in strip mall dojos who don't have a clue how to fight. Of course, there's the occasional karate guy whos's a hard core badass. Such a person gets excited at the sight of blood and bare knuckle fights full contact. But those guys seem to be the minority. I know. Video or it doesn't happen, so here you go: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZo-Nyd-ivo Ignore the shitty music and skip to 1 minute to see the fights. - Comment on Religion and Ethics (2011-10-08 19:02:13)
Man, I really have beaten you down, haven't I? You followed me around a grudge for months, following me from thread to thread, making up shit. The only thing you accomplished was that you made yourself look like an even bigger insecure idiot. Now you try to ignore it. Beautiful. I bet you couldn't look me in the eye if we met IRL. You'd probably stare at your feet and walk away without saying anything. Then you'd go back to telling lies on the internet to validate you petty little ego. - Comment on Religion and Ethics (2011-10-08 18:55:41)
