This new batch of Republicans doesn't realize that actually DOING all the shit they promised to do for all these years would actually be politically catastrophic. - Comment on Texas Forced This Woman to Give Birth to a Stillborn Son. She’s Suing (2023-05-24 17:50:56)
That could have killed her. A fetus that dies in the womb will start to decompose, which can make the mother very sick. Republicans say she needs to be actively dying before the dead fetus can be removed. The cruelty is the point. - Comment on Opposition Research (2023-05-24 16:55:40)
If DeSantis wins the nomination, Trump will run third party. He NEEDS the protection of being a sitting President in order to avoid felony conviction. This is a good scenario because he'll split the vote. Dem candidate wins by the biggest landslide in history. - Comment on Marjorie Taylor Greene spent $100K for Kevin McCarthy’s chapstick (2023-05-24 16:04:42)

Tracked down an interesting post on the subject: RulerOfPersei81.7k points 7 days ago I work in the banking industry, and this is a well known issue. Here is what likely happened: the shop owner was depositing too much cash or moving cash around multiple accounts with multiple owners. This forces the bank to file suspicious activity reports (SARs) and eventually close the accounts. Here is the kicker: the bank cannot disclose to the account holder why they closed the account, and there is a penalty with the possibility of prison to the actual employee that discloses this to the account holder. This is literally the law in the Bank Secrecy Act. Even if the bank wanted to tell the customer, unless there is an employee willing to go to prison for it, no one can actually tell the customer why their account was closed. - Comment on I’ve never seen so many flags in one picture (2023-05-22 20:54:22)

Banning drag is just a backdoor way of banning trans people dressing as themselves in public. - Comment on ‘How would you slice this pie?’ (American magazine ad by National Association of Manufacturers – NAM. It would be very costly, but Disney can relocate Walt Disney World to another state. This would cripple Florida's economy, as they'd lose their biggest tourist draw AND their biggest employer. Governor DeathSentence is being a fool. - Comment on Ultra Filtered Dolphin Milk (2023-05-11 17:27:04)
