There were a couple of star destroyers with superlasers in the expanded universe, but I imagine that the Eclipse class is the most well known. http://s49.photobucket.com/albums/f252/CanisD/Shipyard/Drawings/SW/Eclipse.png http://pages.infinit.net/jfp/swgallery/others/SCALESOLUTIONS_ECLIPSE.html

I agree completely that he shouldn't have used stun (I mean it WAS greedo after all...). I was trying to point out options that Lucas had which would have altered the film less. A side note of interest is that none of the "good guys" ever used stun. - Comment on Star Wars - Han Solo and his marvelous blaster - which shot first (2009-05-27 18:34:07)
Actually, firearms in Star Wars have a "stun setting" that is entirely non-lethal. My own concern is that given the initial "cold blooded" Han, there is a clear growth of character throughout the movie which is abrogated by the reworking of the scene. Yes, I am a Star Wars geek. - Comment on Reserved for expectant mother (2009-03-30 20:49:02)
I feel obligated to point out that it is certainly within the rights of the store to post the sign, but it is not within their rights to tow your car if you park there without fetus or infant. Handicap parking is government regulated, this type of thing is not. That said, I can't begrudge this. While I will never personally benefit from such a spot, as I think I will neither shop at best buy nor spawn, I strongly feel that people so desperate to get into the store that they need to bring along their baby likely should have handicap access anyhow (for reasons which can only be described as mean spirited). - Comment on Alcohol Free Zone (2009-03-13 20:22:25)
All you really would need to do is print the red circle lower, so that it covers the text instead of the tasty, tasty beer. - Comment on The Table (2009-03-13 20:14:46)
I think I may make this for myself, but I will use one of those mini-baseball bats for the club and paint a ball motif on the shield probably. I still haven't figured out how to get rid of the screw, but I am leaning towards inverting the bat (handle up) once I do. - Comment on ...but with a whimper. (2009-02-17 15:48:07)
Interesting, but much of it is very theoretical. Since a lot of this is based on data that is impossible to observe, it's mostly mathematical extrapolation without a well defined set of apriori. Or, to put it a different way, once people thought the earth was the center of the universe, and was flat too boot. - Comment on Nyarlathotep (2009-02-16 20:44:06)
