Back in the day, the known world surrounded the Mediterranean. There was the 'Orient' (the East) and the 'Occident', or West, of which N. America became a part - about 1,500 yrs later. Yes, it's relative, and the twain have met: big time.

    hmm, a wehrmacht polizei jacket, a panzer officer's cap, and a J.A.P.'s under-rig. A total mess.

The very foxy lady is NOT in the Russian military. She is a professional model, presenting one of several PROPOSED uniforms for female officers of the Russian army. The event was a press conference. The uniform was NOT adopted. The pic is about two years old, and can be found on http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums/ I'd still like to play with her buttons...

"this has to be a shoop" Yezzz... see the curious shadows on her thigh? Methinks the PS 'lawnmower tool' was applied -- only the pubilicious shadows remain.

Famous riddle: how many grooves are there on a 78 rpm record? hmmm? (psst: re egotistical lovers' spat above -- you two little nose-pickers get back to Detention.)

Yep - a well known exchange at a state dinner. Comment was made to Lady Astor.

Frame: probably the most famous pinup artist of all time. Google his great work and notice that nearly every girl is carrying a sack of groceries with a celery stalk sticking out!

@Sticky: Wake up. Michael Dell wasn't even born when this show ran.

PS... your pic is misleading as all TV was B&W monochrome (and snowy). RA

Ok, here's the skinny ... I was born in 1943 and TV came to Tallahassee in '51: WCTV Ch 6 brdcst six hrs a day. Winky Dink came on Sat am, and us kiddies needed Saran wrap to overlay the screen so we could use crayons to connect dots - thereby giving WD a car to ride in or a bat to hit the baseball, etc. Hot stuff and VERY geeky, 58 years ago! Pres Ike smoked on the same TV later. lol All true. Cheers, Robert A.

Buttery-soft price, too: $543. For $60 more they will label the keys for you!
