That first pic, the B-24 (the lower plane) was out of position. I believe everyone on board was killed. The B-24 smashed onto it's nose was a taxing too fast accident. Everyone forward of the wing was killed.

Mfg.1900's. * Colt .22 LR Mfg. 1960's. * Rohm und Haas .44 magnum Mfg. 1970's. * Suhl .41 Calvary revolver Mfg. 1893 - This single action German revolver unusual, it has a safety, the hammer almost required two hands to cock, but the trigger release is under 5 lbs.

No information is provided on the ammo used. I've seen revolvers and semi-auto handguns blown apart by hand loaded ammo with a double (or more) charge of gunpowder.
