It's not really black lung disease- Black lung is caused specifically by deposits of coal dust in the lungs. Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis is more specifically irritation caused by bits of silica dust from a volcanic eruption, as if the name didn't imply it :)

Sorry for hard times ahead... We just put down our 18 year old terrier mix, Girlfriend not too long ago. Very hard to do, but if it eases their suffering, it's totally worth it. Be there when he goes... You'll feel so much better knowing your dog's going while you're by his side.

Io moths, actually- not butterflies. The male is the bright yellow, and the female is the brown. Very beautiful moths... Moths have much more puffy antennae, these are wafted through the night air to detect sex pheromones from other horny moths who want to mate. They're extremely sensitive and some species can detect pheromones from up to a mile away. SCIENCE!

It's a nice place to hang out in the winter; I lived there for about seven years. Waking up at 9am, riding your bike down to Layton's to get a nice breakfast, then walking on the beach with your dogs. We used to live on 26th street, bayside, we had a canal, our own boat... Used to go out to Assateague and just chill with the wild ponies. It's certainly not California, but I love it regardless. 18 year old drunk chicks come down the week after school's out for Senior Week, though a lot more than HS seniors come down. Basically turns Ocean City from a semi-populated place to a fuckin' party bus. Drunk people everywhere.

As a Baltimoron, I can attest that Baltimore has a lot of violence. I've lived all over the state, from Baltimore, Harford county, Ocean City, etc. I can tell you right now that 99% of the crime in Baltimore is contained in West Baltimore, where no one but drug dealers and gang bangers live, and 99% of the crime is gang on gang crime. I've walked in downtown Baltimore countless times, alone, with friends, and as long as you stay in the right places, you're fine. Western Maryland and Ocean City are faaaar from Baltimore, anyway. Baltimore has a lot of great bars, like in Fells Point, near the Harbor, Federal Hill, shit- even Elicott City has some nice breweries. I will be your tour guide, Die! Can anyone say bar crawl and drunk camping? Hell yes. That's my mom and dog in the last picture, poor thing was freezing his ass off.

@etad52 Nah, no naked-ness as a Naturalist, it's basically an outdoor educator but with a more fun title. @dieantagonista Most certainly- is there an email I can send them to? @Tiki We were armed with KNOWLEDGE. Also, we had a bunch of blades, and a lot of the kids we were working with are from West Baltimore, so god knows what kind of shit they smuggled out there... We had two stabbings this summer within our campers.

No! There were no mosquitoes here. Lots of ticks, though. I got Lyme disease again this summer, but it was worth it. This is Swallow Falls (lol) State Park in western Maryland... We had a mother black bear and her cubs come by our campsite every night around 5:30, just sit there and stare. It was wonderful.
