Such a fine lighting model should be experienced on hardware that can provide some tessellation and full scale texture maps. Just imagine the disappointment when BF3 bros get their copies home, throw it in their gamebox3, and it looks nothing like that @720p with jaggies and bilinear filtering everywhere.
