The joke goes, "Why was 6 afraid of seven? Because seven ate nine!" Thus, the character who should be terrified is 6, and is how it's shown in the comic. 8 is not actually a part of the joke, and would not fit, nor make sense, in place of 6.

I used to imagine a band on a cart riding next to the car, playing whatever was on the radio. Other times it was jus a guy jumping and running over things, constantly trying to keep up.

Google isn't helping me, but I remember on the discovery channel them talking about this spider. It lives in the roots of a specific tree, and runs (quickly) after people who get too close. Also, it's not the biggest spider in the world, but it's still huge. I think it lives in Africa? I don't remember.
