Um... it definitely wasn't the studio. It was simply that George actually listened to other people at the time. By the time the third one was being made, he started to believe his own myth. The original ending for Revenge of the Jedi (not Return) had Han Solo die, and the rebellion winning with a major battle that killed the emperor, but the empire still out there controlling the galaxy.

Forgot a very important part of the monomyth: the weapon that the hero defeats him with was given to him by an older, wiser man. (Woman for Cinderella). This older person usually has to die so the hero can face the main villain on their own. (Or just fuck off and let be sometimes). Oh, and parental issues. They all have to have dead parents or trying to reconcile with their father. (Bilbo is the pseudo-father figure in this case).

I got out after Secret Invasion. It wasn't even a conscious decision. I just... stopped going to my LCS. 'Course, that was my second time dropping the habit. Also dropped it at 16 for girls, but the Ultimate line dragged me back in. Too bad Loeb happened there.

If we're just talking workout routines, then yes, it takes much more work for men to reach that level. But she probably has a 20-30 minute shower routines she does each day, a constant make-up routine, is constantly hungry, and has to keep up on all the latest fashions. Not to mention all the other crazy shit women have to put up with. I'd rather just workout a couple hours a week. Reason #3,487 I'm glad I'm a man.
