Leo2A4 Fahrschulpanzer Today's driving school tanks are adapted versions of the respective vehicle which, thanks to the same hull and similar weight distribution, have the same driving characteristics as the original version but are more suitable for teaching. To give instructors a better view of the traffic situation, they sit elevated in a glassed-in superstructure. The driving instructor can intervene in the control of the tank.

It's called "Notaufnahme" here in Germany. And since I grew up with George Clooney's ER, that was the more familiar term for me. I had to look up what A&E stands for.
