A satellite with a big laser or nuclear missile orbiting (Banned, but lets face it, they're up there).. A higher power. Or lower, depending on your point of reference. It's all relative.

Spectral absorption - Certain materials absorb certain frequencies of EM Radiation ("Light"). This is an observable fact here on earth, in our local area of space, and laws of physics don't change. It's our problems extrapolating the laws of physics that make them seem like they do. Thats how they can have an idea of what a planet, or star, or other body is made of - its not just by looking, its by examining its radiated energy - examining the spectrum of that energy - and seeing what absorption lines are present. It doesn't give you every single detail, but it can tell you, for instance, jupiter has hydrogen, planet y in solar system Z has a significant amount of element X.. it's not guesswork. And black holes are visible thanks to hawking radiation, as well as the accretion discs of the black hole's dinner around the event horizon. not to mention the gravitation effects - you see something orbiting an area that indicates the mass of a star, but you dont see a star, instead you see hawking rad and/or the debris disc - black hole is a candidate.

Jeez.. Does anyone remember when MCS used to have funny pics and not just a flood of aircraft pics and nudes? Can we please get back to funny stuff, even if we have to repost older stuff? All the aircraft pr0n is making me search for new LMAO sites.

in fact, that one is gay. It's missing indigo, which is the "common" gay rainbow. symbolism and whatnot. To be honest i'm gay, but don't know or much care about the rainbow. And the whole pink triangle thing is just a holdover from the concentration camp era. Oh, and that HRC sticker? The equal housing authority wants their logo back. Not all of us march in the parade behind the testicles are our friends float.

@outofocus: they did try to fix it when i was three. it failed, as those surgeries often do on young children apparently. It turned it from esotropic to exotropic (out instead of in) but did not even it out. had it succeded i may have very well been stuck with double vision. by school age, i had "learned" to alternate (the technical term). Its all in the past now, and since i have no concept of normal vision.. this is "normal" to me and i'd know no other way. You should see the pics after the surgery - its horror-movie grade gore.. a bloody, pulpy eyeball! I kept waking up during the first of the two surgeries, which was.. frightening. Needle and hook and scalpel coming to eye cannot blink omg omg cant turn scream

If the child is not faking it, the condition is called strabismus. I was born with it as well, though my eyes were pointing outward. Underdevelopment of some of the eye muscles, or sommat. I refused to have it fixed until i was 24, because i had a horrible fear of doctors. Talk about a living hell. Turns out that your ability to make eye contact with someone is fairly important for social development. To this day i still dont look people in the eye, although my appearance is normal. One downside is, if you dont see double your brain shuts off one eye at a time (under conscious control for me!) to avoid the doubling. No depth preception.. and no 3D movies.. or stereograms.. damn it. oh, and.. i'd suggest not trying to cut me off on the interstate. takes me a bit to judge your distance.

Americans used the bellamy salute until WWII. It is similar, but not identical to, the nazi salute. see wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bellamy_Salute

OK, so is it "STOP! Low Cost Insurance" i.e. "come in for LCI" or.. is it "Stop low cost insurance" as in "We really want to give you the shaft in our legalized protection racket"? I mean, pls, for full coverage my insurace on my first car was $250 per month (kia sportage). What a fucking racket.

  • Comment on Stop Trolling (2008-07-31 21:11:24)
Internet trolls have no idea the damage they can cause to some people's psychology. I know some people who are so perilous that someone getting lulz one day may end in their suicide. Kids, trolling is not cool. Its dangerous. Stop trolling.
