Remicade was my last option. I'd already been thru enbrel and humira, each w/ moderate success. They each lasted about 2 years before they stopped working. I've been on remicade for several years now and can unequivocally say that w/out it, I'd be in a wheelchair and is the best thing to happen to me in a long time. PsA is an autoimmune disease and is both progressive and degenerative. Once the joint is affected, it cannot be "undone". The "biologics" are extremely important...once you get to a certain point. If you're not there, you prolly won't want the biologics. There are dmards (e.g. methotrexate, a chemo drug) that are used very successively w/ well known and easy to check side effects. If you don't really have a lot of joint involvement now, your rheumy may want to just keep checking and decide not treat at this moment. PS: Sorry it took me so long to reply. Flares suck and typing is quite difficult.
