  • Comment on Willie Nelson (2008-03-11 20:17:44)
@ gor Hmm. The man's been recording music for about 40 years and is known to BILLIONS of people around the world. He will be remembered long after his death even by those who aren't fans and, for better or worse, his face and voice are instantly recognizable. Yeah, that's pretty lackluster. Unless you've done more to American farmers than Willie Nelson, you aren't qualified to judge him. Or anyone. Until you organize and fund a benefit concert on the scale of Farm Aid, you haven't earned the right to call his donations 'chump change', no matter their amount. He's done more while high than you will ever accomplish so why don't you just show a little respect. He's earned it. You? Not so much.

  • Comment on Michelle Trachenberg - Black and white (2008-03-04 14:56:57)
Recipie for ruining a popular television show that is hailed by many critics for it's powerful female characters: Just add Michelle Trachenberg. Don't get me wrong, I LOVED the idea of a season-long, psudo-retcon of the ENTIRE SERIES but they ruined the feel of the show by adding a squeaky-voiced hack. I wonder if she's carved from the same block of wood as the kid from Phantom Menace?

There are actually 6 Boba Fetts. 3 on the left and 3 on the right behind Jango Fett. Why is there a Royal Guard at the far right dressed in black? Or the dude next to him which appears to be a red stormtrooper?

  • Comment on Boxers are awesome (2008-02-28 01:28:31)
Boxers are awesome but Australian Shepherds are just a tiiiiny bit more awesome. Plus, boxers are notorious droolers. @maxcw My Aussie was born blind but he doesn't know he's handicapped. The wife and I are thinking of adopting a deaf dog as well. I don't think we could handle a blind and deaf dog, though. That's just way too hard.
  • Comment on Bret "the hitman" Hart (2008-02-28 01:22:25)
Bret. The best there is. The best there was. The best there ever will be. One of the best technical wrestlers ever, one of the most love/hated champions ever, one of the most entertaining WWE Superstars ever. Regarding Owen Hart: Didn't I hear a story about how, while he was falling, he yelled at someone in the ring below him to move out of the way? Don't know if the story is true but I think I heard that somewhere.

Mmm-kay, so if I'm drowning/dying, I have to wait for someone to find some rocks and a board and tie my ass up and start seesawing me? What if there are no rocks? Or boards? Or rope? Seriously, does everyone pack rope when they go to the beach?
  • Comment on Leelee Sobieski - Silver Dress (2008-02-24 16:45:10)
I'd do many horrible, amoral, unmentionable things to get this woman. Fap fap fap!

Maybe we're missing a new tourism niche here...... Come see California's Favorite Suicide Spot! Goodbye, Cruel World tours, busses leaving on the half-hour. Christmas '08 packages still available! .......or not.

Wouldn't the kick from a hand-held shotgun, even a .410, pretty much knock the gun out of your hand?
  • Comment on Jim Henson and the Muppets (2008-02-07 02:48:40)
@ Gary Scenario I agree, although he wouldn't hesitate to mix in the most awful puns and running gags among smarter, more subtle humor. But what I really miss is his voice, the Muppets, especially Kermit, just don't sound the same without him.
