I imagine that it would be very much like dorm life. Everything is very communal, everyone is in your business, and you in theirs. Likely a shared bathroom on each floor. Hopefully with plumbing. That staircase gives me nightmares though.

I Keep an updated password file in the safe for my Wife to use if something happens to me. She does the same. So technically yes, we have access to each other's digital life, but no, we don't access them all willy nilly. Boundaries are a must in any relationship, even after marriage. I need my own space and time, as does she. It's all about respect.
